OVERVIEW

CR’s Project Management team is responsible for planning, coordinating, and guiding work so that a project is completed successfully—on time, within budget, and aligned with our organization’s goals and mission to help shape a more equitable and safer marketplace. 

As a Project Manager/Scrum Master, you’ll report to the Director, Project Management to support our Data & Personalization initiative to enable personalized user experiences amongst our membership community.  Working across all Digital Product Squads, IT, our Data Office and Marketing, you will identify and execute on the development and instrumentation of our D&P technical foundation.

This role is hybrid, requiring the incumbent to be onsite 3 days per quarter, plus occasional in-office team meetings.  This position is not eligible for sponsorship or relocation assistance. 

How You'll Make An Impact

This position will help increase membership and retention, expanding Consumer Reports’ impact to help consumers and drive marketplace change.  You will:

  • Oversee one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects.
  • Develop the program strategy, supporting business cases and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans.
  • Ensure  integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.
  • Engage with IT and business executives, as well as external partners, to relay the strategy, goals, and updates regarding the program.
  • Maintain accountability for the successful execution of all IT portfolio projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, remain within budget, and fulfill all strategic business goals.
  • Track key project milestones and recommend adjustments to Project Managers, as needed.
  • Partner with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
  • Manage JIRA Product Backlogs and work with Product Management teams to support product development needs. 

ABOUT YOU

You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You have the degree or equivalent work experience.  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field  AND/OR 10-15 years of IT and business industry work experience.
  • You have managed others.  At least 3-years of leadership experience required.
  • You have managed projects for at least 5-years. 
  • You have Project Management certification.

FAIR PAY AND A JUST WORKPLACE

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The salary range for this position is based on the candidate’s work location. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of the applicable range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by their particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.

Consumer Reports has three locations: Yonkers, NY, Washington, DC and Colchester, CT. We are registered to do business in and can only hire from the following states and federal district: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Salary ranges

  • NY/California: $150K-$170K annually
  • DMV/Massachusetts: $130K-$150K annually
  • Colchester, CT and additional approved CR locations: $125K-$145K annually
