As an Agility Lead / Scrum Master, you play an important role as a servant leader for our scrum team(s) by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. You will bring your agile experience with an open mindset to collaborate with passionate people. You are proactive in solving problems to help the team(s) succeed. You will be driving Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. You are responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and have a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Product owner to align team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Facilitate and coach multiple teams across geographical locations
  • Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champions continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coaches teams to conduct continuous improvement events
  • Seeks opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization
  • Communicates organizational impediments to leadership; clears impediments for the team
  • Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the team(s) you coach
  • Coach product owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
  • Appreciate the depths of Lean and Agile practices and principles, help teams appreciate them
  • Teach systems thinking and servant leadership
  • Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, conflict management, mediation and so on to help the team become a high-performance team


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ year of demonstrated experience as a Agility Lead for 2-3 teams concurrently in an established mature environment with limited complexity and ambiguity
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile, Kanban principles and application of it at scale
  • Ability to flex approach based on the needs of the team/organization
  • Uses empathy; understand team dynamics and organizational boundaries / constraints
  • Ability to use and analyze data/organizational metrics to identify trends, demonstrate progress and identify opportunities for the team
  • Ability to use facilitation skills to help unlock self-organization, autonomy and creativity in the team
  • Basic understanding of Design Thinking / Customer Journey mapping exercise
  • Estimation and Planning skills to ensure the team has a healthy backlog
  • Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration (preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry-wide Big Data and API technology trends and best practices (preferred)
  • Hands on experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint , and Powerpoint for organization and effective communication
  • Understanding of software skill concepts such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
  • Ability to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve the team(s)
  • Possess an executive presence and ability to coach multiple teams across the product
  • Ability to leverage capabilities across the firm to solve local problems
