The Role: 

Newsela’s content could not exist without the work of almost two hundred freelance contributors, who adapt articles and create instructional activities according to our demanding guidelines. As we increase our freelance contributor pool to support more content development, we need someone to support the facilitation of projects and inform processes to increase our efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. As the Associate Project Manager, you will support the day-to-day management, engagement, and systems of both freelancer operations and content projects through deadline monitoring, milestone tracking, project execution, and new project rollouts.

You will help inform exciting new processes and operations that will help Newsela aggressively scale over the next couple of years. As a member of the Content Operations team, you will have the opportunity to grow in several directions and will gain valuable insight into scaling content production processes. While flexing your project management skills, you will help us meet the needs of teachers and students nationwide as we work to build collections to serve their direct needs in making teaching across subject areas engaging and accessible.
