As Director of Regulatory Project Management, you’ll use your project management skills to lead a diverse array of high priority regulatory initiatives while expanding your leadership skills in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across various business lines to execute projects that support the regulatory requirements of Stash’s products and services. You will also assist with drafting policies and procedures and conduct compliance reviews. In this position, you will serve as a project manager and regulatory subject matter expert.

What you'll do:

  • Remain current on industry rules, regulations, and best practices to help ensure that the firm’s compliance programs meet regulatory standards
  • Scope, define and plan the delivery of regulatory requirements and related business requirements for new business lines in conjunction with project stakeholders
  • Provide and analyze trends and periodic reports detailing risk-related process gaps
  • Manage various ad hoc special projects related to risk and compliance governance
  • Communicate identified issues to legal, compliance and business line stakeholders and collaborate with such constituencies to develop and implement a plan of corrective action and prepare written reports
  • Assist in corresponding with regulatory agencies, examiners, auditors and other company team members and assist with action plans created as a result of examinations, audits or internal testing

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related fields
  • 10+ years of related experience in the financial services industry analyzing regulatory risk and best practices
  • Deep understanding of project management phases including planning, build-up, implementation, and closeout
  • Ability to identify and interpret wide-ranging issues, and delineate requirements and implications under tight deadlines
  • Highly-developed interpersonal skills and an aptitude for building strong relationships through the use of engaging, courteous, and persuasive communication styles
  • Exceptional ability in developing, drafting, and implementing compliance policies and procedures and testing
  • Experience coordinating regulatory filings, ad hoc correspondence, and examinations
  • In-depth knowledge of a wide assortment of financial services products (e.g., ETFs, equities, fixed income, insurance, consumer deposit accounts, personal loans, mortgages, etc.)
  • Experience in a project management function supporting compliance, legal, and/or operations
  • Exemplary attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and strong judgment skills
  • High open-mindedness, conscientiousness, and equanimity

Gold Stars

  • Advanced knowledge of Advisers Act, FINRA equities trading, consumer banking, and/or lending regulations
  • Previous experience at a regulator
