Meeting your future team:

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate IT,  IT PMO Director will be a new leader in Collibra’s growing IT organization to build out the Business Innovation Office (BIO), build a team of Project Managers, and establish a center of innovation and excellence out of which major IT/enterprise projects will be managed.  This role will be a trusted business partner to Collibra’s cross-functional leadership teams by building a PMO for project delivery success.  In addition, this role will be a strategic, consultative advisor to drive innovation and shape the direction of the cloud-based, SaaS solutions used to run the end-to-end operations of Collibra. This role will build an IT PMO Governance and Change Management structure and maintain a rolling IT Project Roadmap to ensure the enterprise achieves scalability, productivity, and its vision for growth.  The Director, BIO PMO will work with cross-functional teams to define key game changers, coordinate resources, and ensure projects deliver value.

The IT PMO Director at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Establish and drive an IT Project Roadmap, project intake process, and PMO Governance structure to ensure cross-departmental, strategic alignment and prioritization of projects. 
  • Build and coach a team of IT Project Managers as business needs and funding expand and invest in team’s career development.
  • Oversee end-to-end life cycles of IT projects from planning to requirements, design, build, test, train and deployment phases for corporate applications.
  • Partner with Procurement to drive RFPs, negotiate vendor agreements, and manage vendor partnerships.
  • Lead Change Management initiatives to ensure proper training and communications as the result of process, policy, and role changes. 
  • Ensure Total Costs of Ownership are accounted for in business cases to define funding, manage costs (cap vs expense), and track ROI.
  • Coach Project Managers to be one-step ahead of the business by identifying and mitigating risks, defining escalation paths, and driving project success.

You have:

  • At least 12-15 years’ experience in Project Portfolio Management, strategic technology planning, and operations roles. 
  • At least 5-10 years supervisory experience leading direct reports, Project Managers. 
  • Experience in cloud-based Saas landscape to lead evaluations and implementations (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud & CPQ, NetSuite, FinancialForce, Workday HCM, Gainsight, Zendesk, Workday, Marketo, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated experience in project budgeting (cap vs expense) and IT cost center management. 
  • Thorough understanding of PMO Methodologies (e.g., SDLC, LEAN, or Agile), tools, and Business Process Mapping, and Business Case Analysis. 
  • PMP or other project management certification is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree required.

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, you will meet and partner with business stakeholders and the Director of Enterprise Applications to learn Collibra’s systems, data, and roles and take over the IT Project Roadmap. 
  • Within your third month, you will lay the groundwork to establish the BIO IT PMO at Collibra by setting up a PMO Governance model, project methodology best practices, reusable deliverable templates, and a Change Management program.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a cross-functional Business Innovation Steering Committee in place, rolling cadence for PMO Governance, project intake process, and resource plan to grow the PMO team.
