About the Role

The Platform Program Manager (internal title: Platform Initiatives Lead) strives for delivery excellence which translates into on-time, on-budget, and on-charter completion of project work that result in happy teams and happy stakeholders. 

This role will be responsible for understanding divisional project priorities and coordinating new software development to accomplish project objectives. The Platform Program Manager will harness contributions from business analysts, engineers, quality assurance analysts, and external resources to ensure the right tasks are lined up, and executed effectively.
 

The Platform Program Manager will additionally work in parallel with initiative leads in the other program specific divisions, coordinated by the CPO’s Chief of Staff. They will report project status to stakeholders, balance project resources, resolve inter-project challenges, and escalate cross department project challenges.

 

What You Would Do

  • Work with division/department leads leads and key stakeholders to identify key project, initiatives and task needed to support division/department work
  • Empower self-organizing scrum teams through the software development lifecycle  
  • Identify and assemble project teams that have the right resources to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure that all team members understand project goals and are working collaboratively to achieve them 
  • Facilitate stand-ups and retrospectives, and partner with Product Owners to facilitate Sprint Planning and Grooming
  • Coordinate with other initiative leads responsible for interconnected projects
  • Identify, track, communicate, and escalate risks and facilitate implementation of mitigation plans
  • Build from individual task estimates to provide timelines, milestones, status, and forecasts for all assigned projects

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of scrum master or project management experience in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of and comfort with multiple project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, lean, scrum, kanban, etc.) and ability to adapt them to the realities of different workstreams
  • Experience with software development project and documentation tools (JIRA, Asana, Confluence)
  • Comfort helping teams navigate technical topics such as relational databases, authentication, and third party integrations
  • Ability to juggle a multitude of projects simultaneously, large or small
  • You know how to push work forward from a position of influence without direct management authority
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing, and communication skills with a natural tendency toward innovative and creative problem solving
  • Adaptability, you thrive in a dynamic work environment (during a very dynamic time)
  • Drive for organization and ownership
  • Curiosity, you enjoy jumping in to learn new information in order to be successful

Role Classification and Benefits

This role is full-time and includes benefits such as rich medical, dental, and vision insurance, 36 paid days off per year (prorated for the period in which you work), paid parental leave, a professional development budget of $375 annually and a quarterly cell phone subsidy.
