The Warehouse Management System Tech Lead will work directly with the Manager of Warehouse Management Systems to implement our next gen WMS across our domestic and international warehouse network. This role will be responsible for the inbound and outbound integration from our suppliers along with our internal and external systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Enterprise Architect peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information and solutions architects) to analyze and derive the technology architecture future state of our WMS
  • Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging integration technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
  • Hands on ability to demonstrate a working POC towards the proposed solutions
  • Assist with designing the governance and technology standards associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance related to SOX
  • Document necessary enterprise technology architecture artifacts, design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection
  • Collaborate with business constituents, other ES team members, project teams and staff in various IT functional areas as needed to fulfill the responsibilities described above
  • Perform Architecture assessment analysis and provide High Level Architecture Landscape & Design for requested changes
  • Provide application/technology expertise within the assigned function including conducting In-depth quality reviews on design and testing
  • Complete understanding of the SDLC and Change Management process
  • Excellent Problem Analysis, Customization design, Integration Testing, and System Testing

Job Skill Requirements:

  • Primary technology liaison to the Business groups regarding application systems architecture landscape and technology solution approaches
  • Accomplish effort estimation of scope, provide Architecture guidelines & solution designs and recommend best approach for the business requirement
  • Have In-depth application expertise for new WMS Applications and Other Business systems
  • Review, recommend and influence 3rd party software solutions and adherence to technology standards
  • Participate in requirement gathering and provide high level and detailed Architecture/Solution Designs
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Developers, Testers and Production Support teams to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery
  • Works towards application stability and restoration of service and prevents problems and roadblocks
  • Effectively collaborates across all delivery teams including Customer, Partner System team, System Integrators, Third Parties Logistic providers
  • Leads the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements

Competencies:

  • Experience in Manhattan and JDA WMS applications 
  • Architect the Integration touch points using ETL tools like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, WebMethods
  • Experience in SaaS integrations/orchestrations into WMS/Transportation applications, Legacy Systems and 3rd party Vendor software integrations
  • Experience in processing EDI Transactions to and from our Carriers, Vendors from WMS & Transportation module
  • Experience withMiddleware and supporting technologies, defining services, establishing the service usage patterns within the enterprise including orchestration, composition, messaging patterns
  • Architect solutions to accommodate cross domain module integrations requiring WMS data

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of WMS experience, preferably in Manhattan Associates WMOS/PKMS, JDA RedPrairie WMS, or SAP WMS
  • Strong understanding of EDI and integration technologies / methodologies related to WMS systems including EDI transactions: 810, 832, 855, 856, 945, etc
  • Understanding of serialized inventory vs non serialized inventory
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Lucid Charts, Visio, Word, Excel
  • Exposure to Warehouse Management System partner technologies like cubiscan labor management, Manufacturing Execution
  • Knowledge of integrating warehouse management system with other equipment and systems such as MHE (conveyors), Warehouse control systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution systems (WES) and pick-to-light systems etc. is desirable
  • Minimum of five years of design and implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge and a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, servers and storage, database management, and supply chain operations
