Summary:
The Proposal Writer is an integral contributor to the team’s work in expertly crafting winning proposals in response to school district solicitations. The person hired for this role will work closely with the Implementation Support Teams, subject matter experts, and Adoptions & Proposals colleagues to develop compliant, compelling proposals on deadline.
The impact you'll have:
Take the lead on developing and writing responses to solicitations.
Review solicitation documents to summarize key points and inform bid decision and strategy
Partner with the Proposal Response Team (PRT) and other relevant CA teams at all stages of the proposal development process to fully understand the context for the opportunity and our win themes and differentiators
Synthesize RFP requirements and expertly craft (either directly or in collaboration with other personnel) persuasive, accurate, and vetted responses that highlight Curriculum Associates’ strengths and competitive advantages
Solicit and incorporate cross-functional team edits into proposal drafts
Develop creative and compelling copy to effectively market our programs and services to educators through the vehicle of a narrative sales proposal.

Collaborate with other members of the Proposals team to ensure timely and compliant production and shipment of proposals.
Conduct debrief analyses, share lessons learned with colleagues, and incorporate those refinements into subsequent proposals.

Who we're looking for:
Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams with competing needs
Excellent attention to detail
Fast and nimble research capabilities—ability to synthesize essential information from large, complex documents
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to multiple constituencies, and meet established deadlines
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications; Qvidian experience and experience using AI platforms (i.e. CoPilot, Chat GPT) preferred
Required Education and Experience:
3+ years of experience writing proposals, preferably in a K-12 education/publishing environment (candidates without proposal writing experience that have 3+ years of experience in a K-12 education/publishing environment and knowledge of company products and programs may be considered)
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
Pay Range: This role’s range is $60,750-$99,750.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
