Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for ensuring the highest standards of quality in software products. You thrive in a dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration are valued, and you understand the crucial role that QA plays in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are excited to learn new skills and embrace new tools to streamline and scale the QA process. You are familiar working with software engineering teams and business stakeholders and are adept at communicating QA findings to both groups.
As a QA Analyst at Spot & Tango, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital platform — including our e-commerce websites, spotandtango.com and pupgum.com, as well as a suite of internal digital tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for our customers. This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of a cutting-edge and growing ecommerce platform while working in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements
- Execute test cases, both manual and automated, to validate system functionality
- Identify, document, and track bugs
- Work with the Product team to inform the prioritization of bug tickets
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to solve bugs
- Contribute to the deployment process — QAing code before it is launched to customers and ensuring new code is deployed seamlessly
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deeply understand our digital products
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated integration test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scenarios, and test data
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience in QA for software products in a startup or similar environment
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- A desire to learn more about technology, product management, and engineering
- A passion for digital products and software development
- Dog lover!
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in Customer Service, Product Management, or Engineering, especially in a startup environment
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown Manhattan office. In office presence is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
