Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled QC Engineer - MEP & BMS with 6-7 years of experience in quality control and assurance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Building Management Systems (BMS) projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP and BMS installations, testing, commissioning, and documentation activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, BMS controls, QA/QC procedures, inspections, testing protocols, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Implement and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection protocols.
  • Conduct inspections of MEP and BMS installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Verify material deliveries, equipment installations, and workmanship quality at site.
  • Prepare and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Checklists.
  • Monitor installation activities and proactively identify quality issues and non-conformities.

MEP System Quality Assurance

  • Ensure quality compliance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and associated MEP systems.
  • Verify installation of equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, transformers, switchgear, generators, and fire alarm systems.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals from a quality perspective.
  • Coordinate with consultants and project teams to resolve quality-related observations.

BMS Quality & Testing

  • Review and verify BMS installations, control panels, sensors, actuators, controllers, and field devices.
  • Ensure correct integration of HVAC, Fire Alarm, Lighting Control, Energy Management, and other building automation systems.
  • Monitor testing, functional checks, point-to-point verification, and commissioning activities.
  • Validate BMS control logic and system performance against project requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action reports.
  • Prepare quality documentation required for project audits and client submissions.
  • Ensure all testing and commissioning reports are complete and properly documented.
  • Support project handover by compiling quality dossiers and as-built documentation.

Testing & Commissioning Support

  • Witness testing and commissioning activities for MEP and BMS systems.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams, consultants, and contractors during system validation.
  • Verify performance test results and ensure closure of punch-list items.
  • Ensure successful system handover and client acceptance.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with project managers, site engineers, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct quality awareness sessions and toolbox talks when required.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide quality status updates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-7 years of experience in QA/QC for MEP and BMS projects.
  • Strong understanding of building services, automation systems, testing, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience working on commercial buildings, data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial projects, or large infrastructure projects.
