Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Systems Manager to join our elevator manufacturing team in New York, Bronx.  In this role you will lead the maintenance and continual improvement of the Vantage Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an Enterprise Quality Management System (QMS) that serves as a centralized, authoritative source for all quality-related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Design and maintain a QMS framework that ensures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Align quality documentation across BUs to enhance clarity, consistency, and accessibility across all business units.
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews to ensure that procedures and supporting documentation are and remain current, accurate, and aligned with company policy.
  • Establish and drive ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Develop and support audit programs and coordinate external audits, including certification, customer, and regulatory assessments.
  • Develop a Vantage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program to identify, correct and prevent quality issues.
  • Develop, implement and quality performance metrics, provide actionable insights and trend reports to senior leadership.
  • Develop a robust Vantage Change Management System (cradle to grave) across all BUs.
  • Champion the initiative-taking approach to identifying, evaluating, and addressing risks and opportunities throughout an organization’s processes and continuous improvement methodologies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality principles into engineering, operations, and business processes.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive supplier management programs, including approval protocols, audit schedules, performance scorecards, and cost recovery mechanisms across multiple sites.
  • Drive alignment and collaboration between Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to ensure consistent problem-solving approaches and effective escalation pathways.
  • Act as an individual contributor while holding process and implementation ownership
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in quality systems and quality engineering (bachelor’s degree acceptable)
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing
  • Experience in the creation and implementation of a ISO 9001 Quality System
  • Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA control plans
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Position Details

Full-Time   8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Up to 33% of travel required.
