Profile Summary:

The Voya Investment Management Equity Team is seeking a Quantitative Analyst/Developer for the Fundamental Analytics group. The group manages an analytical platform delivering actionable insights to the fundamental equity investment team. The group constantly develops new tools that leverage quantitative techniques and traditional/alternative/proprietary data with the objective of improving the fundamental investment process. As a Quant Analyst/Developer, you will help design, build, and maintain a next generation analytics platform including the underlying infrastructure.

Profile Description:

• Design and build out analytical reports with a focus on functionality and user experience 

• Design, implement, and test updates to modular components in the existing code base

• Explore opportunities to extend and/or improve our infrastructure, for ex. optimizing use of cloud resources, or incorporating CI best practices  

• Configure and monitor data ingestion processes

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with a  strong academic background in a technically oriented field (Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline)

• Master’s degree in a scientific field a plus.

• Experience in general purpose programming languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar)

• Basic web development experience, including functional knowledge of HTML and CSS

• Awareness of OO design principles and patterns, data structure, and algorithms gained from prior job experience, university coursework, internships, or open source hobby projects

• Basic knowledge of version control tools (Git), relational databases (MSSQL), and cloud platforms (Azure or similar)

• Clear and concise communicator, keen attention to detail, and ability to analyze data

• Must be a team player, have excellent problem-solving skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be passionate about technology, mathematics, and their intersection

• Interest and/or experience in equity investing is helpful, but not required

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
