The Reception Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the law firm’s front office. This position is responsible for supervising three receptionists, managing day-to-day reception activities, and serving as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff. The Receptionist Supervisor embodies the professionalism and discretion required in a legal setting, ensuring that all interactions reflect the firm’s values and standards.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Oversee, mentor, and support two receptionists: managing work schedules, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
- Greet visitors, answer and direct incoming calls, manage the main reception area to maintain a welcoming and professional environment.
- Ensure guests are received warmly and efficiently, following security and confidentiality protocols specific to a law firm.
- Organize front desk tasks such as meeting room bookings, supply inventory, and courier arrangements.
- Facilitate communication between attorneys, paralegals, support staff, clients, and visitors, relay messages accurately and promptly.
- Address and resolve issues related to the reception area, escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
- Always uphold strict confidentiality, handling sensitive legal documents and information with care.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to reception procedures and client service standards.
- Ensure front desk practices comply with firm policies and legal industry regulations.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of receptionist or administrative experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Stong communication skills both oral and written.

Pay Transparency Range:
New York salary range: $85,000-$110,000 per annum
The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
