Optum Infusion Pharmacy, a division of OptumRx, is searching for a patient-inspired, results oriented and collaborative Regional Sales Director to join our Sales Team. This is a high-performing Team, and this role is critical to the growth of our division.
Under the direction of the VP of Sales, the Regional Director of Sales is responsible for leading a team of IG Care Specialists and Clinical Liaisons selling IG infusion services. The RSD will also partner closely with their Intake, Operations and Nursing peers to achieve positive patient outcomes and over-achieve their Region sales goals.
If you are located in the Midwest, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leads, motivates, and coaches IG Sales Representatives to achieve sales goals. Drives accountability at territory level
  • Develops regional strategy and plan of action for target hospitals/hospital systems as well as Dermatology, Immunology, Neurology and Rheumatology and top prescribers
  • Recruits, interviews, and hires top talent
  • Trains and develops talent. Leads team through change
  • Demonstrates technical selling skills and Optum Infusion Pharmacy service model expertise
  • Collaborates with pharmacy operations team to ensure superior customer service
  • Analyzes and summarizes data and trends
  • Routinely communicates with Marketing team regarding resources, competitive activity, etc.
  • Interfaces with pharmaceutical manufacturers to highlight Optum Infusion Pharmacy service excellence
  • Builds business relationships with health care professionals
  • Effectively manages travel and expense budget
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity
  • Complies with all company and government policies, regulations and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of successful sales and/or sales management experience in healthcare
  • 2+ years of specialty Pharmacy or B2B sales experience
  • Experience in leading business meetings, developing and leading training sessions
  • Experience leading a team and influencing without authority
  • Experience in effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven history of driving sales results and achieving goals
  • Proven success in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
  • Primary residence in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri or Colorado

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare related sales
  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership
  • Pharmacy infusion sales experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $90,000 to $195,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
