Who We Are

Babylist is the leading platform for expecting and new families — and our showrooms in Beverly Hills and NYC are where that mission comes to life in person. Since opening in 2023, we've welcomed thousands of families to explore gear, build registries, and feel truly supported. The people who work in our showrooms are the face of that experience. If you love creating meaningful moments and want to be part of something that actually matters to the families you serve, this is the team.

Our Ways of Working

This is a fully on-site role at our New York City showroom. Please apply directly through this posting — to protect the guest experience, we ask that you don't call, email, or visit the showroom with hiring inquiries. Thanks for keeping things smooth!

What the Role Is

Our NYC Showroom is where the Babylist brand comes to life in person. As a Registry Specialist, you're the in-house baby gear expert who guides expecting parents and their friends through building the right registry for their lifestyle, budget, and goals. You'll also be a senior presence on the floor, coaching newer showroom staff and owning the daily operations that keep the space running, including opening, closing, and security. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site role for someone who loves both the product and the people.

Weekend Availability is required

Who You Are

  • You know baby gear inside and out. You can spot an UppaBaby Vista from across the room and rattle off which car seat has the smallest footprint without thinking twice.
  • You've guided parents through registry or gear decisions before, ideally for two or more years, and you know how to turn a nervous first-time parent into a confident one.
  • You bring 2+ years of retail or guest service experience, ideally in a setting where relationship-building was central to the role.
  • You build trust fast. You're a warm, empathetic in-person communicator who makes people feel understood, not sold to.
  • You can coach and support a team, helping newer staff get up to speed on product features, safety guidelines, and the Babylist way of doing things.
  • You're comfortable owning showroom operations, including open and close procedures and security protocols.
  • You can juggle several customers at once without letting the experience slip for any of them.
  • You're available to work weekends, when our showroom is busiest.
  • You're a flexible team player who pivots to where the business and the customer need you, and you welcome feedback as a way to get better.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead registry consultations as the in-house product expert, guiding parents and gift-givers through one of the most meaningful (and overwhelming) moments in their lives
  • Drive registry value through thoughtful "Add to Registry" and purchase recommendations
  • Shape how the Babylist brand shows up in person at our NYC Showroom, not just online
  • Coach and support showroom and pop-up staff on product knowledge, safety, and guest experience, growing into a real leadership presence on the floor
  • Own opening, closing, and security for the showroom and pop-up spaces
  • Partner with the Showroom Manager to keep the space energetic, on-brand, and welcoming
  • See your impact directly, in registry value, in guest experience, and in how likely a parent is to tell a friend about Babylist
