The Department of Psychology at the City College of New York (CCNY) seeks a part-time Research Project Coordinator (to support a newly funded NIH study examining social, psychological, and neighborhood-level factors associated with cigarette smoking and smoking cessation) under the supervision of Drs. Adriana Espinosa and Lesia Ruglass.  This is a 1-year, part-time (19 hours per week) position with the potential for renewal based on performance and funding availability. Remote or hybrid work arrangements will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day study operations and manage and oversee project timelines

  • Serve as one of the primary liaisons between key personnel at participating institutions (CCNY, MSKCC, Roswell, and UT Austin) and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)

  • Assist with managing study databases and research documentation

  • Conduct participant screening, scheduling, and follow-up activities

  • Support IRB compliance and NIH reporting requirements

  • Assist with administrative processes associated with the development of presentations, manuscripts, and dissemination activities

  • Other administrative tasks as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MPH, MA, MS, MPA, MSW, or related field)

  • At least one year of experience coordinating federally funded research or comparable research projects

  • Experience coordinating human subjects research

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating activities across fast-paced, multi-institutional research environments

  • Knowledge of administrative, regulatory, and financial processes required to support federally funded research projects

Experience with:

  • IRB submissions, modifications, and continuing reviews

  • Study tracking and regulatory documentation

  • NIH reporting requirements

Pay Range:

Minimum - Maximum: $30.00 per hour
