The Center for Rheumatology, the largest independent rheumatology practice in upstate New York, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our well-established team. For over 40 years, we have provided exceptional, patient-centered care across the Capital Region.

Compensation & Benefits:

· $285,000 Base Salary

· $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Practice Highlights:

· Two locations: Albany and Saratoga Springs

· Albany office offers full diagnostic and treatment services on site:

o X-ray, lab, DEXA scans, ultrasounds, and infusions

o Skin biopsies and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment

· Active research involvement with Corevitas, advancing RA and PsA case studies 

· Large established patient population with steady new patient referrals

· Strong administrative support including prescription management and prior authorization coordination, allowing you to focus on patient care

In this position, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles, and bones. You will conduct research to determine the cause and find better treatments for helping your patients fight and overcome these disabling and often fatal diseases.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  1. Creates treatment modalities based on scientific research.
  2. Treats arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis.
  3. Treats over 200 other types of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, back pain, tendinitis, and osteoporosis.
  4. Treats soft tissue problems related to musculoskeletal systems and sports related soft tissue disorders.
  5. Diagnosing diseases of the joints.
  6. Studies signs and symptoms of rheumatic disease and evaluates its effect on a patient’s system.
  7. Designs customized and individualized treatment plans, depending on a patient’s disease.
  8. Studies and gauges the results of a patient’s lab tests.
  9. Uses technologies and tools like radiographs, MRIs, and ultrasound.
