The Sales Associate is responsible to assist customers throughout the retail store.  The primary function of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service. This may include greeting customers in the store, cashier responsibilities, answering product related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by manager.  The Auto/Tools Sales Associate should have knowledge of tools and auto parts. Afternoon shifts and every other weekend.

Pay Range $16.00-$17.00 depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Greet customers as they shop in the retail store, assisting with customer service questions.
  2. Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.  
  3. Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
  4. Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
  5. Responsible for assisting in cycle counts.
  6. Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
  7. Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.
  8. Responsible for accurate cash handling.
  9. Responsible for handling customer returns.

 

OTHER DUTIES 

  1. Housekeeping duties
  2. Other duties as assigned

 MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Excellent customer service skills required
  2. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
  3. Long periods of standing
  4. Frequent bending and twisting 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 

  1. High School Diploma or GED preferred
  2. Any knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms is strongly preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  1. Retail store environment
  2. Cold and warm conditions
  3. Irregular work schedule
