The Sales Associate will grow relationships with high-volume traders, execute acquisition motions, launch localized campaigns, and monitor performance to increase market share in digital trading.
The summary above was generated by AI

Ostium is on a simple mission: make it possible for anyone with a digital wallet to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, and crypto with full transparency. No brokers, no freezes, no hidden spreads. We’re replacing the opaque, offshore brokerage model with a transparent, permissionless trading stack built onchain. Every trade, deposit, and withdrawal is verifiable through open, auditable code. We’ve raised $27.9M+ from General Catalyst, Jump, LocalGlobe, Susquehanna (SIG), GSR, Alliance DAO, Soma Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Meltem Demirors, and others.

About the role

We need someone who understands how elite traders operate and knows how to win them over. The market we’re going after moves trillions. We’re not a b2b SaaS startup selling software licenses. We’re earning trust with traders moving 50M one clip Nasdaq shorts.

This role is about turning existing product-market fit into volume that compounds. You’ll own acquisition from outreach to onboarding to expansion, helping us scale from early traction to capturing significant market share.

It’s not about “growth hacks” - it’s about building strong relationships that convert into volume, spotting opportunities first and fast.

What you’ll be doing

Expand our whale trading base

  • Own relationships with high-volume traders in Telegram/Discord

  • Track activity daily to identify outreach opportunities and follow up at the right time

  • Use onchain data to identify and convert whales from other platforms

  • Help active users scale order size and explore new markets on Ostium

Run acquisition motions that actually work

  • Reactivate churned users and pull traders from CEXs into onchain markets

  • Launch incentives that resonate with crypto-native traders

  • Partner with trading groups to host events and drive deposits

Break into new regions with intent

  • Execute localized campaigns in key markets like Korea and Japan

  • Adapt messaging to regional trading culture and risk profiles

Grow our builder ecosystem

  • Support integration partners to increase volume flow

  • Help identify and land new builder code relationships

Be the eyes and ears of the GTM engine

  • Monitor performance: volume, activation, retention, campaign ROI

  • Report insights clearly and propose next moves - no vanity metrics

Stay active where traders live

  • Engage directly in communities

  • Rep Ostium at events and trading competitions

  • Build credibility with CT influencers and the protocols that matter

You should probably
  • Know DeFi trading deeply - perps, leverage, liquidity, execution

  • Have 2-5+ years in crypto sales, BD, account growth, or trading-related roles

  • Understand how traders evaluate counterparty trust and execution quality

  • Have a track record of bringing in meaningful business

  • Move fast without losing the plot

  • Be data-aware but not data-stalled - you know when speed matters

You definitely have
  • Experience managing high-value relationships (ideally whales or funds)

  • Comfort with onchain data tools (e.g., Hyperliquid explorer, Arkham,

  • Nansen)

  • A repeatable follow-up process - traders remember who shows up

  • Clear written and verbal communication - especially in DMs

  • Strong ownership - you close what you start

Bonus points if you have
  • A network among high-volume traders, CT influencers, or crypto funds

  • Experience in APAC trading markets (Japan, Korea, SEA)

  • Exposure to market making, execution systems, or structured trading groups

  • Previously taken traders from CEX → onchain perps or exotic markets

  • Competed in trading events or run trading communities yourself

Real talk

This role is close to the money. If you perform, everyone will know.

You’ll work directly with our Head of Growth and co-founder Kaledora - high trust, high expectations, rapid iteration. Priorities will shift based on market conditions…because that’s how real trading works.

Success means:

You bring in traders who trade size - and keep trading.
