This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.

Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.

About the Role

The Sales Commission Analyst role sits at the intersection of finance, sales operations, and analytics. Owning the accuracy, integrity, and clarity of how Clipboard pays its revenue-generating teams.

You're likely someone with sharp spreadsheet instincts and a low tolerance for unexplained numbers. You're comfortable enough in SQL to pull your own data, fluent in comp plan mechanics, and just as capable of explaining a payout discrepancy in plain English to a rep as you are tracing the formula that caused it. You take ownership of the details because you know one uninvestigated row error erodes trust in the whole system.

You will:

  • Calculate and process commission payouts accurately and on time each pay cycle, catching and resolving discrepancies before they land in a paycheck.

  • Own the mechanics of our commission plans, the calculations, tiers, and accelerators. Keeping the spreadsheets and systems that run them aligned to plan documentation.

  • Query and reconcile data across systems to validate commissionable revenue and investigate payout questions.

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to roll out new or updated comp plans, translating plan changes into working, auditable calculations.

  • Field and resolve rep-facing commission questions with clear, reliable written communication.

  • Build and maintain tools and dashboards that make commission tracking transparent and self-service for reps and managers.

What you bring:

  • Spreadsheet mastery. You build and audit complex, multi-tab models without breaking them.

  • Working SQL skills, comfortable pulling and reconciling data across sources.

  • Comp plan literacy. You can read a plan document and translate it into an accurate calculation.

  • Sharp attention to detail; you catch the error before it becomes a payout problem.

  • Strong, reliable written communication for explaining numbers to non-analysts.

  • Project ownership. You can take a commission cycle or plan rollout from start to finish with minimal oversight.

Experience

  • 0-2 years in FP&A, sales operations, commissions/compensation, analytics, or a comparable analytical role.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary

  • Insurance benefits and 401k options

  • Unlimited PTO and flexible holidays

  • Remote-first flexibility
