As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Handshake you will have the opportunity to learn from talented sales professionals and build a strong foundation of sales skills that will accelerate your career. This role is key to the success of the sales organization and includes finding new revenue opportunities that add to the total pipeline. You must be enthusiastic about speaking with prospective customers on the phone and learning about how their businesses operate. Responsibilities of an SDR here:

  • Identify high quality prospects who fit our ideal customer profile and would benefit from using our software
  • Maintain a high volume of calls, emails, inmails, and other creative ways to engage with prospects
  • Engage in consultative qualification conversations to get prospects excited about our offerings
  • Schedule discovery meetings and demos of the platform for Account Executives
  • Meet/exceed monthly targets which consist of creating quality opportunities for Account Executives
  • Demonstrate leadership and and the ability to self-manage your day to day responsibilities
  • Document and manage your sales pipeline in SFDC application

Desired Skills and Experience:

You have great energy that captivates prospects, you’re comfortable speaking with any and everyone, you are independent and can think on your feet, you’re a natural problem solver, and you just can’t wait to work with a bunch of fun and loving Handshakers! Also;

  • 4 year college degree
  • 1-2 years inside sales/telesales experience
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Basic understanding of CRM software, ideally Salesforce.com
  • Willingness to make 40+ phone calls per day
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely on the phone
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and manage shifting priorities
