LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing. Our platform gives developers everything they need to build, test, deploy, scale, and observe agents in production. Founded in 2021, LiveKit powers voice AI applications for OpenAI, xAI, Salesforce, Coursera, Spotify, and thousands of others, collectively facilitating billions of calls each year.

You'll thrive at LiveKit if you:
  • obsessed with making the best product for our customers.

  • are known as the go-to person for tackling tough problems

  • work hard and can build and ship fast

  • focused on polish, detail and quality

  • are a fast learner, frequently picking up new tips, tricks, and skills.

The best way to impress us is with thoughtful ways you’d implement LiveKit, and potentially tinkering with it 😊

About This Role:

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified pipeline for our go-to-market team by engaging technical buyers (engineering, product, and platform leaders) and helping them understand how LiveKit fits into their real-time + agent stack.

As an SDR, you’ll be a core driver of pipeline creation. You’ll research target accounts, run thoughtful outbound + inbound motions, qualify opportunities, and partner tightly with Account Executives (and Sales Engineering where needed) to convert interest into high-quality discovery meetings.

This role is ideal for someone who’s excited by developer tooling / infrastructure, wants to get deeply fluent in a technical product, and enjoys high-velocity prospecting with a strong point of view on messaging.

What you’ll do
  • Prospect, qualify, and generate customer leads to support overall revenue growth—owning top-of-funnel activity from first touch through meeting set.

  • Run outbound + inbound workflows: respond quickly to inbound interest, and build outbound sequences into ICP accounts with structured experimentation on messaging and channels.

  • Conduct high-level discovery to identify pain, urgency, current architecture, stakeholders, and next steps; then route qualified opportunities to AEs with crisp notes.

  • Develop account insight: map accounts, identify key personas, and tailor outreach to technical and semi-technical stakeholders (engineering/product/platform).

  • Work a multi-touch, multi-channel cadence (email, phone, social, events) and track activity rigorously in CRM and sequencing tools.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to tighten ICP, improve conversion, and operationalize feedback loops from the field.

  • Hit pipeline targets (e.g., meetings set, Sales Accepted Opportunities, sourced pipeline) while maintaining a high bar on qualification quality.

You’ll thrive here if you…
  • Enjoy learning technical products and can translate value clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Like structured prospecting: research, hypothesis, messaging, iteration, and measurement.

  • Are resilient and energized by high-activity work—without sacrificing craft and personalization.

  • Care about tight execution: fast follow-up, clean CRM hygiene, crisp handoffs, and repeatable process.

  • Want a path into closing roles (AE) or broader GTM roles over time, with strong coaching and reps.

What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a customer-facing, sales, or GTM-adjacent role (B2B SaaS preferred), with evidence you can learn fast and execute consistently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication (you can write outreach that’s concise, specific, and credible).

  • Comfort using (or willingness to learn) CRM + prospecting systems (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach/SalesLoft, intent/data tools).

  • Strong organization and follow-through: you can manage a territory/segment and prioritize effectively.

Nice to have
  • Prior experience selling to engineering or developer personas (DevTools, infra, security, observability).

  • Familiarity with concepts like real-time communications, APIs/SDKs, cloud infrastructure, developer workflows.

  • Event support experience (webinars, meetups, field events) and comfort engaging prospects live.

You’ll be selling a highly technical, developer-first platform at the center of a fast-growing category (voice + real-time + agents). You’ll work with a team that values tight feedback loops between product, engineering, and GTM—and you’ll have the opportunity to build durable sales fundamentals while developing genuine technical fluency.

Our Commitment to You:
  • An opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world

  • Contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers

  • Competitive salary and equity package

  • Health, dental, and vision benefits

  • Flexible vacation policy
