ABOUT PIXALATE:
Pixalate is the global leader in fraud detection and privacy compliance for digital advertising — safeguarding billions in ad spend for Fortune 500 brands, the world’s largest DSPs and SSPs, CTV publishers, and major app marketplaces.
Our work goes beyond software. We’ve surfaced high-profile criminal networks and illegal surveillance operations covered by the Washington Post, NBC News, ProPublica, Gizmodo, and Adweek. UNICEF recognized us as a Key Innovator for protecting children’s online privacy. When fraudsters evolve, we’re the ones who catch them.
We’re now building the next generation of AI-powered detection systems — and we need a Sales Director who can bring that capability to the buyers who need it most.
Our global team of data scientists, engineers, economists, lawyers, and researchers operates across offices in McLean, VA, Washington D.C., London, and Singapore. The sales team is lean (10 people) and high-output — every person here has real impact.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Strategic Partnerships. You’ll own a book of business across key ad-tech verticals — DSPs, SSPs, publishers, CTV/OTT platforms, mobile app developers, brands, and agencies — and drive new revenue from first contact through close.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage a playbook someone else built. We want a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can navigate complex multi-stakeholder deals, and is excited to sell a product that genuinely matters. There’s a clear path to sales leadership as the team grows.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, outreach, discovery, negotiation, and close — consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly new business targets.
- Build and grow a pipeline across DSPs, SSPs, publishers, CTV/OTT platforms, mobile app developers, brands, and agencies.
- Sell to technical and product buyers — CTOs, Product Managers, Ad Ops leads, Data Science teams — and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals with confidence.
- Position Pixalate as a trusted advisor on ad fraud, brand safety, privacy compliance (COPPA, GDPR), and measurement — not just a vendor.
- Contribute market intelligence and field insights to GTM strategy, helping sharpen positioning and identify new segments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Data Science, Ad Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to deliver an exceptional client experience from first demo to go-live.
- Represent Pixalate at industry events, conferences, and in the trade press — you’ll become a known voice in the ad verification space.
In your first 30 days:
- Deep product fluency — you can demo Pixalate’s platform confidently and explain our fraud detection methodology to a technical audience.
- First prospecting sequences launched across your target verticals.
- Shadow 3–5 active deals with the existing team to understand our sales motion.
By month 3:
- Active pipeline built, first meetings booked independently.
- First deal closed or meaningfully advanced to late stage.
By month 6:
- On track to quota. Trusted by cross-functional partners. Contributing insights to GTM strategy.
- 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience within the ad-tech ecosystem — programmatic advertising, CTV/OTT, mobile apps, DSPs/SSPs, ad verification, or marketing analytics platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of the digital advertising supply chain — you know who the key players are, how the money flows, and where the pain points live.
- Experience closing 5–7 figures deals with technical and product stakeholders (CTOs, Product Managers, Ad Ops leads, Data Science teams).
- Familiarity with ad fraud, brand safety, privacy compliance (COPPA, GDPR), or measurement and attribution — this is a meaningful advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you take initiative, build your own pipeline, and operate with a high degree of ownership.
- Strong communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical buyers and build genuine trust with sophisticated ones.
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving team where results matter more than titles.
