Job Description

As Director of Sales, you will lead business development for Avaloq’s Composable Solutions to new client segments as we expand our global footprint into the Americas. This is a pivotal opportunity to develop the go-to-market sales and delivery strategy—building new client relationships and strategic partnerships to drive sustained revenue growth. 

 

  • Develop and implement sales strategic initiatives for market penetration in the Americas—establishing business growth sales plans and targets 
  • Drive pipeline generation and own the full sales lifecycle playbook—creating repeatable funnel flows, running discovery, qualification criteria, demos, and solution mapping from end-to-end 
  • Capture and synthesize client pain points and feature requests, providing a feedback loop to Product and Technology to shape the roadmap  
  • Establish a lean sales development model and infrastructure in region to efficiently and effectively close new clients 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Technology, Finance, and Strategy partners to align on messaging, lead generation, deal structure, forecasting, pricing, and client feedback

Qualifications

  • Over 10+ years of experience in B2B sales within the financial, technology, banking or wealth management industry, with 5+ years in a SaaS environment 
  • A deep understanding and knowledge of market trends, competitor landscape, and client needs 
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and managing RFI/RFP processes and complex, long-cycle deals 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking capabilities 
  • The ability to recruit and train a high-performing team to achieve metrics-driven performance targets as the footprint grows 

It would be a real bonus if you have: 

  • Experience identifying and collaborating with industry partners to provide local third-party system integration and implementation support or to create value-added solutions 
  • Experience in driving location strategy for Sales, Implementation and Client Success teams, and client segmentation and pricing strategies 
  • Experience with selling API first or composable B2B SaaS products
