Our Mission

At Omnea, we’re reinventing how enterprise businesses operate, starting with the most painful parts: procurement – where a single purchase can drag on for months, trigger 50+ emails, and pull in Finance, Legal, Security, and IT just to get something approved.

We’ve raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel to change that. Our AI-native platform connects every person, step, and system so buying is fast, safe, and efficient – one place to request, automated approvals and renewals, real-time supplier risk, and complete spend visibility.

The opportunity is massive. Every enterprise on the planet has this problem and nobody has solved it. We’ve 10x’d ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and are trusted by global enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. We’re now the 4th fastest growing startup in Europe & the Sunday Times' #1 Best Medium Sized Tech Company To Work for.

Our team previously scaled Tessian (cybersecurity tech, backed by Sequoia, Balderton, Accel, acquired post-Series C), and our team includes ex-founders operators who’ve grown unicorns, shipped world-class products, and executed at the highest levels. You’ll work alongside leaders like Ben, Abs, Sabrina, and Rebe.

Find out more about the team and life at Omnea here. The Role

AI is changing what it means to run enterprise pre-sales. Building a custom demo, standing up a proof-of-concept environment, or drafting responses to a security questionnaire used to mean days of manual configuration and copy-paste from old RFP answers. Increasingly, that first-draft work can be directed rather than done by hand: AI can generate demo environments, draft PoC configurations, and produce a first pass on technical RFP responses.

The job shifts with it. Instead of building every demo and proof point from scratch, you specify exactly what a prospect needs to see, direct AI to build the first draft, and apply the judgment AI can't: does this PoC actually prove the thing this customer's IT security team will ask about, does this demo reflect how their approval hierarchy actually works, is this RFP answer technically accurate or just plausible-sounding.

As Omnea's AI Sales Engineer, you're the technical authority in our enterprise sales process, working alongside Sales to win some of the world's largest companies. You run discovery, build and direct demos and PoCs, and become the trusted technical advisor a prospect leans on to decide whether Omnea is real. You're deep in the modern finance and procurement stack - ERPs, CLMs, GRC, AP automation - and you use that expertise to judge what AI produces, not just to present it.

This is a foundational hire on our Sales Engineering team, working closely with Sales, Product, and the Customer team who take a deal from signed to live.

What You'll Do
  • Own technical discovery and demos: Run technical discovery sessions with prospects, direct AI to build a first-draft demo environment tailored to what you've learned, then adapt it based on what only a human would catch - a workflow quirk, a compliance requirement, a stakeholder's pet objection.

  • Drive PoCs end to end: Scope and own proof-of-concepts in collaboration with Product and the Customer team, directing AI to configure the environment fast and applying your own judgment on whether the PoC actually proves what the prospect needs to see to move forward.

  • Answer the hard technical and security questions: Direct AI to draft first-pass responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, then validate every answer against the prospect's actual requirements - a wrong answer here can lose the deal or create a problem after signature.

  • Be the bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer: Translate what you're hearing in the field into product feedback, and hand off cleanly to the Customer team so nothing gets lost between a signed contract and a live deployment.

  • Build the pre-sales toolkit: Keep demo environments, technical documentation, and RFP libraries sharp, using AI to draft and refresh materials as the product evolves, and refining what works based on what's actually landing with prospects.

About You

We don't expect you to know how to do all of this on day one. TL;DR: you're technical enough to be a genuine authority in the room, customer-facing enough to be trusted by a CFO or a CISO, and comfortable directing AI to do the heavy lifting so you can focus on the judgment calls only you can make.

  • 3-7 years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, ideally in B2B SaaS

  • Ideally you have experience in the modern finance or procurement stack - you understand procurement and AP automation, and have demoed, implemented, or administered tools like ERPs, CLMs, or GRC platforms

  • Comfortable directing AI tools to produce first-draft demos, configurations, and RFP responses, with the judgment to catch what's wrong before a prospect sees it

  • A strong technical foundation: you can learn a complex software platform fast and go deep enough to answer hard security and architecture questions

  • An excellent communicator who can simplify technical concepts for multiple stakeholders from CFO, CPO to CISO.

  • A proactive problem-solver with real troubleshooting instincts and a customer-first mindset

  • Comfortable owning RFPs, RFIs, and IT security questionnaires end to end, including the technical requirements that come with them
