Job Scope

The Sales Representative will provide marketing support to existing and new clients, working closely with Operations, Sales and Rental teams to ensure that clients receive excellent customer service and equipment needed for each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by marketing Panavision products and services.
  • Responsible for quoting and pricing projects for productions.
  • Negotiate with production the best possible deal for both Panavision and the client.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts for client base and provide regular updates on pipeline and projected revenue.
  • Understand, analyze and address competitive environment.
  • Increase market share and maintain current client base.
  • Educate clients on Panavision equipment and internal procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and R&D to create new products and improve existing products.
  • Cold call new and existing clients, production companies, studios and agencies.
  • Attend industry events to support role as Sales Representative and increase Panavision’s presence at events.
  • Communicate client and production needs of equipment to Rental Team and Operations in a complete and timely manner.
Skills/Experience Required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the filmmaking process.
  • Understanding client needs and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of key individuals and companies in the industry.
  • Understanding of customer base and market climate.
  • General technical knowledge of both Panavision and non-Panavision equipment and inventory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiations skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with strict time constraints and maintain high performance standards and output.
  • Must be a team player and be able to work with other Panavision locations and internal departments within Panavision.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Prompt and regular attendance is required, employees are expected to begin work at the start of their scheduled shift and to complete their assigned work shift according to the responsibilities of their position.

This position works standard business hours, but may require long hours and some weekend work.

Travel

Some out-of-state/country and overnight travel may be expected.

Compensation

$75,000 to $90,000 per year
