The Business Development department finds opportunities to increase sales volume in the Federal, State and Local Government, Military, Educational, and Corporate Sales divisions.
Under supervision, the Account Manager introduces themselves to a client, builds a relationship with the client, and markets B&H as the best provider for all of their technology needs. The Account Manager also encourages customers to utilize B&H’s e-procurement portals and platforms.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversees relationships with procurement departments in an assigned territory and sector
- Courteously follows up on and open large quotes
- Engages customers on site, at trade shows, or on the phone.
- Creates mini-marketing campaigns to target end users
- Consistently calls and follows up with clients until final sale is closed
- Records all sales progress in Salesforce database
- Reaches out to clients with promotional information and latest product releases
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of B&H products, preferably with specialization in one or more relevant product categories
- Advanced networking abilities
- Familiar with Excel and Salesforce.
- Ability to travel including valid travel documents and driver’s license.
- Professional phone demeanor and articulate communication skills
- Analytical thinker and quick problem solver
- Exercise interpersonal skills within team environment
- Detail-oriented and quick thinker
Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a sales capacity
