The Base Team Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Inbound Sales executives to support them in achieving and exceeding their individual targets that contribute to an overall goal. The Base Team is composed of transactional sellers, selling a limited product offering and designed for the “one call close”. This is a highly visible role that gives you the opportunity to exercise situational leadership, develop a team of reps and be an integral part in the growth and success of Trustpilot. As the manager, it’s your responsibility to define, measure and reinforce best sales practices by researching trends, staying up to date with competition and anticipating the company’s needs. With a team of 8-10 sales reps, you will set the tone for competitive nature, resilience and an emphasis time to close.
Responsibilities:
- Motivate, coach and develop a team of 8-10 inside sales reps
- Collaborate with other managers in order to develop and evolve sales tactics
- Conduct weekly 1:1’s with reps and weekly team meetings
- Define, measure and reinforce sales metrics, goals and best practices
- Weekly and monthly reporting analysis of team’s performance based on KPIs.
- Ensure the defined selling process is followed, and ensure ongoing improvements to this process
- Develop meaningful metrics and reports to measure productivity and quota attainment
- Help administer new lead-generation projects
Ideal Fit:
- 2+ years experience as a team lead or manager in a sales environment
- Expertise in the digital/SaaS space in a subscription model strongly preferred (particularly online marketing)
- Experience working in a freemium model, where customer education is preferred
- Experience in managing a sales team in a fast-paced, high- volume, inbound selling environment
- Knowledge of how to use metrics and data as a way to support effective sales behavior as well as the health of the sales performance of your team
- Understands the value of training his/her team and using metrics to help his/her team improve
- Is comfortable talking to strangers and is an expert making first contact and building valuable relationships
- Wants to build a team and is eager to produce results
- Experience with a CRM tool is required (SalesLoft/Salesforce is preferred)
