As Director, Content Partnership for Video, this role is about globally identifying, evaluating and building relationships to secure the most impactful content to drive value for our customers. This is a leadership position that will inspire a dynamic partnership team to achieve new levels of excellence.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Global responsibility for developing strategic video content licensing partnerships and managing key contributor relationships.
  • Develop impactful creative content licensing strategy and manage deal/partner pipeline.
  • Continuously evaluate competitive video content landscape to inform strategic planning.
  • Partner with sales, business development and the video product & business teams to identify, structure and negotiate for video content partnership opportunities that global drive marketplace value.
  • Create analytical deal negotiations framework and build basic financial models to assess deal and partnership profitability, work with Finance & business development teams to demonstrate and support deal opportunities and purpose.
  • Ensure execution of deal terms and evaluate ongoing performance using both qualitative and quantitative metrics over time comparing to original projections.
  • Drive the video content acquisition process end-to-end from first contact with a partner to collaborating with legal on contracts, finance / business development on pricing and approval (when needed) and liaising with content operations and publishing.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Hands-On Approach: You love rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, working alongside the team and leading by example.
  • Deep knowledge of global video content distribution industry and ideally knowledge of licensing terms.
  • Domain expertise with video content, with an established network of professionals in the creative content/media community.
  • Strong bias for action; ability to work independently, manage multiple (and competing) deal negotiations, projects and deadlines while operating in a lean work environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, networking and persuasion skills; experience working on cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative strategic vision.
  • Experience analyzing and structuring complex deal terms, developing business cases and building revenue and cost models.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data informed decision making, and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development / account management role in digital video media or related.
  • B.S./B.A. Required, MBA preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10%
