We are building a world-class sales team, enabling our largest and most strategic partners to best utilize Pinterest advertising products to grow their business. Reporting to Jon Kaplan, our Chief Revenue Officer, you'll be responsible for setting forth the overall sales strategy for the retail, financial services, tech, telco & travel industries. In this role, you will lead a sales organization that spans multiple levels and functions (industry directors, sales managers, partner managers, and account managers). In setting forth the overall sales strategy for these industries, you will work closely with ad product leadership, measurement science and insights, engineering, product marketing, consumer marketing, agency teams and creative teams to drive consistent value for partners, and revenue growth for Pinterest. 

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a multi-industry sales strategy that enables Pinterest to win the market by meeting partner marketing objectives, scaling partner media investment, and creating meaningful and sustainable revenue growth. 
  • Build on established relationships and develop new relationships with industry CEOs, CMOs, and other key executive decision-makers across the Retail, Financial Services, Tech, Telco, and Travel industries.
  • Shape the future of our Sales organization by building, training and motivating a high performing sales team.
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow the client’s business through Pinterest solutions. 
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Ad Product, and Engineering teams to influence product development in support of vertical needs. 
  • Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize our brand in the market. 

What we're looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in the digital media industry with 10+ years of management experience. 
  • Proven success as an executive sales leader across revenue strategy, sales productivity, and industry partnerships.
  • Deep understanding and established network in the Retail, Financial Services, Tech, Telco, and Travel media industries in the US. 
  • Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies.
  • Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems.
  • Outstanding go-to-market strategy and operational rigor for the successful execution of the sales strategy
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire, drive urgency and challenge teams of individual contributors and leaders, alike, to think big and drive transformational thinking to advance team performance, health, and culture.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership to drive discussions with the product and engineering teams driving alignment. Translating business needs into the roadmap. Have opinions about the technology trade-offs. 
  • Strong influencing skills to build and direct sales priorities and decisions.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into key client objectives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a start-up environment.
  • A passion for Pinterest
