Urbint is looking for highly talented and passionate individuals who can effectively articulate how & why our solutions help transform Customers’ business and exceed their goals. 

As a Spatial Solutions Engineer, you will be a member of the Applied Analytics team within Deployment Strategy responsible for discovering, developing, and deploying compelling ways to visualize spatial and non-spatial data towards demonstrating Urbint’s predictive models and model of the world to our clients.

 What you will do:

• Write simple web-apps that visualize spatial data to support new solutions, existing deployment, and marketing efforts.
• Partner with the Sales, Pre-Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver projects in order to prove Urbint’s value to clients
• Curate and maintain a portfolio of visualizations that can be rapidly deployed across various engagements.
• Collaborate with software and product teams to leverage and expand our spatial data capabilities.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree with a GIS certificate or Master’s degree with GIS coursework.
• An understanding of Machine Learning and its limitations.
• Strong communication and assessing customer needs.
• Team player who can work on multiple projects for various stakeholders
• Ability to think independently and critically about Urbint’s current and potential value proposition and convert into compelling analysis.
• Prior experience in an academic, environmental, government, non-profits is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • GIS-core - Working knowledge of spatial data analysis using ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • GIS-web - Experience building and deploying simple web-apps using any one of the following technologies Leaflet.js, Mapbox.js, Carto.js, kepler.gl or similar technologies.
  • GIS - DB - Using Postgres/PostGIS, Google Fusion Tables,
  • BI - Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services is a plus.
