The Role:

As a Technical Architect at Intersection, you will partner with our Sales teams to provide designs that directly correlate to and support the needs of our clients. You will be an integral part of efforts to develop, implement and manage customer and product solutions, including new program value propositions, customer experiences, operational innovations and technology. It’s an ideal opportunity to demonstrate and grow your strategy capabilities, help us and our clients learn and innovate, and become part of a growing, winning team at Intersection. You will be responsible for working with key customer contacts at multiple levels. You will identify and align business, product and technology objectives, discover customer pain points, offer recommendations, develop budget strategies and recognize current and future needs.

What you will accomplish:

  • Conduct on-site solution overview and design sessions with prospects and customers in support of Sales Team and Partners
  • Create solution descriptions (Scope of Work) that provide a clear view of the opportunity, including the prospect/customer’s business need and proposed solution design
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales Organization, back-office Engineering, Pricing and Provisioning to ensure solutions are sold, price and provisioned to meet the customer’s needs
  • Train partners, sales and account managers on the products and services relevant to their target prospects and customers
  • Develop relationships with C-level executives and client stakeholders to create and implement effective strategies that solve client challenges and maximize the value delivered by Intersection services
  • Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and companies that are changing our client’s businesses
  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership activities

What we are looking for:

  • BA/BS or Advanced Degree in Design Architecture, Computer Science or related field
  • Significant experience with proven consultative sales, preferably experienced in high technology, with evidence of prior success in Sales and Relationship Management
  • Solid experience with troubleshooting complex technical issues, technical, product and/or infrastructure deployment experience, project management utilizing an accredited framework and/or vendor and maintenance management experience.
  • Strong presentation and content generation skills with expertise in the development, writing, and delivery of presentations
  • Strong experience with consultative selling and customer questioning techniques in order to identify new opportunities, sell within existing accounts and maintain the role of trusted advisor to both the customer and sales team.
  • A proven history of anticipating and managing client needs to meet near-term and long-term business goals
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within medium and large organizations
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and oral/presentation skills
