As a Sr Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes end-to-end software and analytics solutions—including design, development, and technical troubleshooting—for Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA/Tableau CRM) and Tableau, with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build scalable, data-driven solutions and break down complex technical problems.
  • Designs and develops secure, high-quality production code, data pipelines, and analytics assets (dashboards, lenses, datasets, recipes) that integrate seamlessly with Salesforce and related systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex analytics and AI-driven applications, ensuring that design constraints (performance, security, scalability, governance) are met by software and analytics development.
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops advanced visualizations, dashboards, and reporting from large, diverse data sets using CRMA/Tableau in service of continuous improvement of business processes, customer insights, and system performance.
  • Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.
  • Partners with product owners, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust analytics solutions, including KPIs, data models, and AI-driven recommendations.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data, dashboards, and integrations, and drives remediation and optimization across data quality, performance, and user experience.
  • Contributes to software engineering and analytics communities of practice, sharing best practices in CRMA/Tableau, data modeling, AI/ML integration, and emerging Salesforce technologies.
  • Mentors junior developers and analysts, providing technical guidance on CRMA/Tableau, Salesforce development, and AI-enabled analytics solutions. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience of Salesforce development and/or analytics experience, including significant hands-on work with Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA/Tableau CRM) and/or Tableau.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing CRMA/Tableau dashboards, datasets, dataflows/recipes, and security predicates in a large corporate environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce data model (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom objects) and how to design analytics-ready data structures and transformations.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce configuration to support analytics use cases, including integration of CRMA/Tableau components into Lightning pages and apps.
  • Solid understanding of building Salesforce Lightning UI and Lightning Web Components (LWC), including embedding CRMA/Tableau dashboards and components within Salesforce experiences.
  • Experience designing and implementing connectivity solutions and integrations (REST APIs, messaging, data transfers, ETL/ELT) to bring external data into CRMA/Tableau and Salesforce. Good understanding of authentication and integration patterns (OAuth2, connected apps, caching strategies, async processing such as future calls/queueables) and their impact on analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML SDLC, design, implementation, testing, release and maintenance..
  • Ability to develop robust reports, dashboards, and monitoring processes to continuously track data quality, integrity, and usage across CRMA/Tableau and Salesforce. Ability to interpret system and business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications, data models, and dashboard designs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security

  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Salesforce certifications such as:
    • Salesforce Certified CRM Analytics and Discovery Consultant (Tableau CRM)
    • Salesforce Platform Developer I/II
    • Salesforce Administrator or relevant cloud certifications
  • Experience with Tableau (Desktop/Server/Cloud) in addition to CRMA/Tableau CRM, including advanced calculations, data blending, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar) for extending analytics experiences and custom UI components.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, data lakes/warehouses) and integrating them with Salesforce and CRMA/Tableau. Experience working with MLOps or data science teams to operationalize AI/ML models within Salesforce and analytics workflows.
