Job Summary:


Our Security Supervisors support Harvard Protection in our goal of providing best in class security and life safety services. Our Supervisors are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and our employees that they lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • A true example in Leadership
  • Ensure quality services are provided to meet customer expectations and contract requirements by regularly inspecting, training, coaching, mentoring and leading security personnel assigned to the facility/building
  • Perform operations related functions to include; scheduling, overtime management, review of daily logs and incident reports, training and development of staff
  • Provide recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those staff members under his/her direct supervision.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, leading staff and aiding customers, employees, and guests
  • Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned
  • Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
  • Answer all phones in a professional manner
  • Know the facility / building policies and procedures, lead and enforce them within positions limits
  • Follow and coordinate established emergency response, action planning and procedures
  • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents and write reports to ensure accuracy of necessary documentation
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as required
  • Process and oversee payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Conduct routine site visits and perform security officer inspections to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Manage multiple client sites while maintaining operational excellence
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work as business needs dictate, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Ensure all assigned sites are staffed, compliant, and operating efficiently
  • The essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Knowledge, Skill Requirements and Qualifications:

  • State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
  • Verifiable and successful supervisory and advanced education and/or certifications preferred
  • Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience is helpful
  • Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
  • Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Write routine correspondence, to include log entries, incident and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service environment
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
Compensation
