This customer is known for its strong fragrance sensibilities, high social media influence, rapid innovation cycles, and sharp intuition for fine‑fragrance‑level olfactive trends. We are seeking a commercial leader who can thrive in this environment—balancing creativity, storytelling, and customer intimacy with strong commercial discipline, financial acumen, and execution excellence.

About the Role — Where You’ll Make an Impact

In this high‑visibility, high‑impact commercial role, you will:

Drive Commercial & Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and expand a major account relationship, developing strategies that unlock growth, whitespace opportunities, and long‑term partnership potential.

  • Implement and execute regional sales strategies while aligning closely with global initiatives.

  • Own revenue, forecasting, margin management, and profitability targets.

Shape Fragrance & Product Direction

  • Build deep knowledge of the consumer fragrance and beauty landscape—especially emerging scent trends, fine fragrance cues, viral social trends, and culturally relevant innovation drivers.

  • Translate trend insights into actionable creative direction that resonates with the customer’s unique brand voice and consumer base.

  • Guide internal teams to craft olfactive solutions, concept direction, and product storytelling that elevate IFF’s competitive position.

Lead Customer Engagement & Presentation Excellence

  • Serve as the primary commercial voice in front of senior‑level customer stakeholders across Marketing, CI, R&D, Product Development, and Procurement.

  • Deliver compelling, insight‑rich presentations that inspire, influence, and shape customer decision‑making.

  • Curate meetings, workshops, and events that showcase IFF’s best‑in‑class creativity and innovation.

Manage Complex Projects & Cross‑Functional Teams

  • Lead cross‑functional project teams—including Perfumers, Scent Design, CI, Marketing, and Innovation—to ensure flawless execution of fast‑paced and often technically complex briefs.

  • Navigate technical challenges (e.g., stability, formulation nuances) with clarity and problem‑solving agility.

  • Maintain strong project management discipline and the ability to prioritize shifting needs in a dynamic environment.

What Makes You the Right Fit

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years’ experience in consumer goods, fragrance houses, fragrance marketing, or beauty/personal care brand development.

  • Proven commercial success with fragrance‑driven or trend‑driven brands strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Chemistry or related field.

Commercial & Analytical Strength

  • Demonstrated success driving strategy, identifying whitespace, and converting opportunities into commercial wins.

  • Exceptional negotiation abilities—skilled in motivating internal teams to execute with urgency while guiding the customer toward feasible, mutually aligned outcomes.

  • Financial savvy across pricing, margin optimization, forecasting, and analytics.

Creativity & Trend Fluency

  • Passion for fragrance, beauty culture, and emerging olfactive and aesthetic trends.

  • Ability to communicate scent direction and creative thinking in a way that resonates visually, verbally, and emotionally.

  • Comfortable leveraging social and cultural insights to strengthen commercial storytelling.

Leadership & Presentation Skills

  • Confident presenter with strong public‑speaking skills; comfortable leading large meetings and senior leadership discussions.

  • Experience managing direct reports or demonstrated interest in talent development.

  • Able to build trust-based relationships internally and externally.

Ways of Working

  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Ability to multitask, thrive under pressure, and adapt quickly to evolving customer demands.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Why Join Us

  • Influence high‑profile fragrance and beauty launches in partnership with a culturally impactful consumer brand.

  • Work alongside world‑class Perfumers, Scent Designers, Creative Insights, Marketing, and Innovation teams.

  • Hybrid flexibility in a collaborative headquarters environment.

  • Eligible for company car

  • Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, holidays, 16 weeks paid parental leave, and annual bonus eligibility.
