The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls within the manufacturing sector.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, including VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes, and other regulatory requirements.

• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare and track budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.

• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial efficiency.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.

• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth financial transactions.

• Monitor credit control and collections to minimize financial risk.

• Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.

• Support both internal and external audits, addressing queries and ensuring documentation is up to date.

• Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

• Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring proper documentation and data integrity.

• Train and support junior accounting staff as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required.

• Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
