Job Title: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls within the manufacturing sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & CompliancePrepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, including VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and track budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial efficiency.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
Monitor credit control and collections to minimize financial risk.
Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
Support both internal and external audits, addressing queries and ensuring documentation is up to date.
Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring proper documentation and data integrity.
Train and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required.
Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
