Senior Associate - Salesforce Developer Engineer

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

As a Salesforce Developer Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of Salesforce applications within New York Life's Field Productivity value stream. You will work closely with senior developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient Salesforce solutions that meet evolving business needs. This role offers exposure to modern cloud and web technologies, including integration with the AWS platform, to optimize data workflows, system performance, and user experience.
What You'll Do:
• Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools such as Flows and Process Builder.• Participate in the full software development lifecycle - including design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-release support.• Collaborate with senior developers and solution architects to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure architectural alignment with business objectives.• Design and support Salesforce integrations with other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, and AWS services.• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance, maintainability, and security.• Maintain technical documentation and participate in peer code reviews to uphold development best practices.• Stay current on emerging Salesforce, AWS, and AI-driven technologies to continually enhance the platform ecosystem.• Build dynamic, responsive interfaces using React.js and TypeScript, applying modern UI/UX design patterns and reusable components across Salesforce and standalone applications.
What You'll Bring:
• 5-7 years of experience in Salesforce development and configuration, combining custom Apex development with declarative automation using Flow, Process Builder, and App Builder tools.• Strong JavaScript development background with hands-on experience building LWC and cross-stack components using React.js and TypeScript.• Skilled in transforming Figma design mockups into high-quality LWC and React UI elements, ensuring pixel-perfect, responsive design fidelity.• Proficient in Salesforce APIs and integration frameworks, with secure authentication using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Named Credentials for system-to-system connectivity.• Hands-on experience integrating with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and API Gateway for data exchange and application extensions.• Experienced in exploring, evaluating, and customizing npm packages to enhance application functionality while maintaining performance, accessibility, and enterprise security standards.• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based source control (GitHub), ensuring consistent code quality and streamlined deployments.• Experience implementing MuleSoft and AWS API Gateway for secure, scalable middleware integrations across Salesforce and enterprise systems.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in an Agile, cross-functional environment.• Exposure to AI-driven solutions such as Salesforce Einstein and GPT-based assistants, exploring productivity & automation to enhance user productivity.• Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking and agile management tools.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $97,500-$139,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
