Role Overview:
We're seeking a Sr. Associate - Vendor Management Analyst to join Technology, Data, and AI team's Workforce Management C4E focusing on vendor management. This role is focused on supporting the end-to-end contract lifecycle- including intake, review, execution, and renewal. The Sr. Associate will partner across Technology, Data and AI departments, plus Finance and Procurement to maintain a seamless contract pipeline and ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory standards.
The role will also play a key part in process improvement and tool adoption, helping ensure a smooth transition to a new contract management tool.
What You'll Do:
Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Maintain and manage the contract pipeline (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments, terminations), ensuring visibility and timeliness across the portfolio.
  • Perform process redesign of contract review process in partnership with Workforce C4E Lead.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of New York Life's third-party operations team (TPOT), ensuring proper documentation, review cycles, and approvals.
  • Monitor the fulfillment of contractual obligations, track milestones/deliverables, and oversee correspondence with contracting parties.
  • Support the maintenance of the contract repository for recurring and one-time deliverables, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Facilitate seamless contract workflow transitions as the organization implements a new contract management tool (e.g., Levelpath).

Governance & Risk
  • Develop, define, and document communication and escalation processes to ensure contract issues are surfaced and resolved quickly.
  • Ensure compliance with NYL's vendor management governance, regulatory, and financial standards.
  • Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies within the Technology Group's vendor partnerships and streamline contract administration practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure adherence to key risk and compliance guardrails during contract execution.

Performance Assessment
  • Lead the end-to-end vendor performance assessment program, including survey creation, management, and execution across strategic suppliers.
  • Analyze survey data to generate performance insights, trends, and benchmarks.
  • Monitor progress on supplier action items and provide ongoing updates to technology leadership, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Portfolio and VS leads to ensure contracts support operational needs and technology priorities.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Legal to coordinate contract reviews, approvals, and escalations through our Third-Party Operations Team for labor contracts.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on contract status, risks, and pipeline health.

What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in contract lifecycle management, vendor management, or procurement operations.
  • Familiarity with contract governance processes (MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, renewals).
  • Hands-on experience with contract management systems.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills; able to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage Finance, Procurement, Technology leaders, and vendors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of vendor performance management and supplier financial accountability practices.
  • Exposure to process improvement and tooling

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $79,000-$113,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
