Drive commercial outcomes through structured planning, actionable insights, and disciplined follow-through. In this role, you will support senior commercial leadership by building the reporting and tooling that clarify performance, strengthen pipeline visibility, and accelerate decision-making—while leading priority initiatives across Merchant Services.

As a Senior Commercial Planning & Initiatives Associate within Merchant Services (Payments), you will build materials that directly interact with senior stakeholders across Merchant Services and cross-functional teams such as Product, Strategy, Finance, Sales & Relationship Management to translate leadership priorities into measurable plans, high-quality executive materials, and delivered results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial planning cadence (e.g., annual/quarterly planning, goal setting, performance rhythms), including KPI frameworks and executive-ready narratives for Merchant Services leadership and senior stakeholder review.
  • Build and maintain scalable commercial reporting that provides clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion, velocity, segment performance, and client activity; ensure consistent definitions and data quality.
  • Develop and evolve tools and scorecards that enable leadership decisions and commercial execution (dashboards, standardized performance packs, self-serve views, automated trackers), partnering with Analytics/Technology as needed.
  • Lead high-priority strategic initiatives for Merchant Services leadership and senior stakeholders, from scoping and alignment through execution tracking and impact measurement.
  • Translate ambiguous priorities into structured workstreams—clarifying objectives, success metrics, milestones, dependencies, and risks/issues; provide concise updates and recommendations.
  • Create executive communications and materials (leadership decks, QBR content, segment deep dives, performance narratives) tailored to senior audiences.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders in Merchant Services and broader Payments to align on outcomes, remove friction, and deliver against commercial objectives (including engagement with control partners where relevant).

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in commercial strategy, business management, planning, analytics, sales effectiveness, project/program management, or technology-adjacent roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce executive-level reporting and insights (metric definition, data validation, storytelling, and decision-focused recommendations).
  • Strong track record partnering with senior stakeholders; high judgment, discretion, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to structure and drive cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (and strong Word skills).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience owning commercial scorecards / dashboards / performance packs and improving adoption through simple, repeatable outputs.
  • Familiarity with pipeline measurement and management concepts (stages, conversion, cycle time, prioritization, coverage attribution considerations).
  • Experience supporting strategic planning in Payments / Merchant Services or coverage-led commercial environments.
  • Comfort working across multiple data sources; ability to reconcile and explain variances and drive to a single set of definitions.
  • Strong written communication: ability to craft crisp narratives (what happened, why, so what, now what).
