As a Senior Consultant in our Payer Technology practice, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing digital and business transformation efforts - from implementing new technical or operational systems to AI-driven workflows - for our clients. This position is for Digital Product and Experience Strategy leaders, and it involves developing strategies that enhance business performance through operational efficiency, driving revenue growth in new markets, and meeting the needs of healthcare consumers and employees with better-built workflows and operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive digital and AI solutions to meet the needs of clients in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead Payer Technology Initiatives:
    • Drive client transformations: set a meaningful strategy that drives business success, informs product design and development to meet user goals, and measure progress toward efficiency and growth
      • Work effort may include modernizing existing systems, evaluating and recalibrating teams and processes, integrating new technologies, and providing change management to maximize value out of transformations
    • Create high impact digital-business strategies from vision to measurement, using proven consulting methods and frameworks
    • Provide expert guidance to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of digital and business transformation from insight through implementation and ongoing optimization
  • Strategic Digital Product Leadership:
    • Lead proven human-centered design and product frameworks to create innovative products and services
      • Understand outside-in impact thorough market and competitor assessments
      • Find product opportunities by exploring business and user needs
      • Leverage data to inform recommendations and evaluate product outcomes
      • Develop robust business cases to secure funding and deliver ROI
    • Effectively communicate product vision and business value throughout client teams
      • Socialize business value and priorities across working teams and with executive stakeholders
    • Translate product strategy into execution with a cross-functional team; support Agile product development lifecycle to desired business outcomes
      • Lead epic, feature and initiative prioritization; then maintain a dynamic product roadmap
      • Collaborate thoroughly with all business capabilities to get the work done
  • AI-Enabled Product Development:
    • Effectively apply product management mindset and skillset to the application of AI
    • Contribute to the design, evaluation, or application of AI models, AI agents, chat experiences, or agentic workflows within digital products and internal workflows.
    • Effectively manage regulatory risk by navigating responsible use guidelines and policies
  • Client Engagement and Team Enablement:
    • Lead client engagements, manage client communications, and deliver impactful presentations that effectively convey strategic priorities and solutions
    • Build and maintain solid client relationships, ensuring alignment and satisfaction with project outcomes
    • Support and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and development

The Digital Transformation Senior Consultant will also contribute to other practice-related development efforts including business development, thought leadership, colleague mentorship and other practice needs. Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in digital consulting, with a proven track record of leading and delivering digital products or transformations
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging digital strategy consulting frameworks (e.g. design thinking, human-centered design, service design/blueprinting and strategic planning and assessments)
  • 5+ years engagement management skills, successfully managing client expectations and overseeing products that effectively met or exceeded business outcomes
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly with payer and/or provider
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skilled in leveraging product management software such as Aha! Or Rally, as well as agile team tooling such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience using or creating structured prioritization methods such as MoSCoW, WSJF, and custom tools featuring clear decision criteria
  • Skilled with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel and Copilot
  • Agile certifications such as PO/PM, SAFe Agilist, etc.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
