About The Role
We are searching for a hands-on accounting leader responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial close and reporting processes. This role plays a critical part in a multi-entity environment, supporting consolidations, intercompany activity, and project-based accounting while driving consistency and discipline across the close.
The ideal candidate brings deep general ledger expertise, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically within a fast-paced, evolving organization.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and complex adjustments
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring completeness and resolution of discrepancies
- Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support multi-entity close activities, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and ensure proper application of accounting policies (GAAP)
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support audit preparation and coordinate documentation for external auditors
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls and accounting processes
- Identify and drive improvements in close efficiency, documentation, and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger ownership
- Experience supporting external audits, with the ability to meet increased documentation and reporting requirements
- Experience in multi-entity environments, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Experience supporting project-based accounting, including percentage of completion revenue recognition, CIP cost tracking, and project-level margin analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Exposure to AI and automation tools, with the ability to apply technology to streamline accounting processes and reporting
