YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As a Senior Corporate Trainer at Modular Power Solutions (MPS), you will design and deliver critical learning programs that empower our employee-owners to excel in our industrialized construction environment. Your expertise will directly enhance operational efficiency and skill development across our facility and corporate functions, supporting MPS's commitment to delivering innovative modular electrical infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for all. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO: 
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and instructional materials tailored to the unique needs of MPS's manufacturing management processes and corporate functions. 
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs for employee-owners, covering topics such as safety, quality, technical skills, leadership development, and professional competencies to support employee growth and strengthen organizational performance. 
  • Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to identify critical skill gaps and develop targeted learning interventions that enhance operational efficiency and project delivery. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through performance metrics, participant feedback, and post-training assessments, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. 
  • Coordinate with external training vendors and consultants to deliver specialized programs, ensuring alignment with MPS standards and business objectives. 
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Corporate Trainers and Associate Corporate Trainers, fostering their professional development and instructional capabilities. 
  • Administer and maintain accurate training records, certifications, and learning management system (LMS) data to ensure compliance and support reporting requirements. 
  • Promote MPS's safety-first culture, core values, and mission statement throughout all training activities, reinforcing our commitment to employee ownership and operational excellence. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 
  • Advanced proficiency in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and effective presentation and facilitation techniques. 
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction or manufacturing, and project management. 
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences and foster a positive learning atmosphere. 
  • Ability to analyze business needs, anticipate future skill requirements, and translate complex technical or procedural information into clear, actionable training content. 
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), virtual meeting platforms, and standard business software. 
  • Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and adapt training approaches to evolving business priorities. 
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development in training and organizational development best practices. 
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate training, instructional design, or learning and development, preferably within electrical manufacturing or electrical construction industry. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs to diverse employee populations, including hourly and salaried staff. 
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPTD, APTD, CPLP) is a plus. 
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. 

TRAVEL:
  • Up to 40% travel may be required to MPS facility locations for training and development opportunities. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
  • Primarily office-based work with occasional exposure to modular manufacturing facility environments, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Frequent periods of sitting or standing at a desk, operating a computer, and engaging in verbal and written communication. 
  • Ability to lift and carry training materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally. 
  • Work may involve presenting to groups for extended periods, requiring prolonged standing and clear verbal communication.
