Overview

At Microsoft, we’re building a modern, AI-forward marketing organization that learns faster, activates smarter, and drives measurable impact. Our approach blends human creativity with AI-powered insights to fuel bold, culturally inspired creative strategies at scale. We prioritize outcomes over outputs, embrace rapid learning loops, and operate in agile flight formations that unite disciplines across Commercial Brand, Creative, and Customer Marketing.

Your work here will show up across industries, communities, and lives creating impact at a global scale. In this Senior Customer Marketing Manager role on the Customer Marketing & Advocacy team, you will help bring Microsoft’s customer stories to life across its ecosystem of channels. You will work across the commercial portfolio of products like Azure, Copilot and AI, Security, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 to activate and amplify rich customer narratives so that every story reaches its full audience and impact potential.

This is an integrated role focused on an always-on amplification workstream that showcases and highlights our customer success. You will define an operating model, elevate the quality and reach of our customer story content, and partner across marketing, sales, and customer success to distribute. You will partner closely with cross functional teams around key events, moments, and campaigns to support the creation of customer story content and ensure it is surfaced across the full ecosystem of channels.

Drawing on your marketing expertise, you will develop campaign and channel plans, recommend priorities, and use performance data and insights to optimize how stories are distributed and consumed. You will make it easier for marketers and sellers across Microsoft to discover, share, and reuse customer evidence that influences decision makers and drives business outcomes while creating visible impact for the team and the customers you support.

At Microsoft, our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth‑mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress, people, teams, and customers. Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what’s next for everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Activation and amplification. Coordinate the activation and amplification of customer stories across Microsoft's commercial marketing ecosystem, partnering with content production teams, product marketing, social, events, communications, and digital channel owners to maximize reach, relevance, and business impact. Ensure customer stories are incorporated into key launches, campaigns, events, and high-visibility moments.

  • Integrated Marketing Execution. Develop and execute integrated marketing plans that feature customer evidence and storytelling across multiple commercial business priorities, including Azure, Copilot and AI, Security, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365. Align objectives, audiences, messaging, channels, and measurement plans to support broader commercial marketing goals.

  • Customer Story Strategy. Partner with product marketing, campaign teams, sales, customer success, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where customer proof can strengthen marketing outcomes. Help prioritize stories, recommend activation approaches, and ensure customer evidence is aligned to audience and business needs.

  • Digital Channel Management. Support execution across web, social media, relationship marketing, email, paid and owned channels by helping develop channel plans, campaign assets, and customer-story experiences that increase engagement, awareness, and content utilization.

  • Program Operations and Cross-Functional Coordination. Coordinate workstreams across marketing, communications, analytics, engineering, business operations, and agency partners. Maintain clear timelines, stakeholder alignment, and execution readiness while helping drive repeatable processes that improve efficiency and marketing effectiveness.

  • Measurement and Optimization. Monitor campaign, channel, and content performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop reporting frameworks, evaluate key performance indicators, and use insights to optimize customer-story distribution, engagement, and business impact.

  • AI-Enabled Marketing Innovation. Leverage AI-powered tools and insights to improve marketing planning, content discoverability, performance analysis, audience targeting, and operational efficiency. Continuously identify new opportunities to scale customer storytelling through emerging technologies and modern marketing practices.

How You Operate

  • Customer Obsessed: You put a customers’ story and customer value at the center of decision-making. You understand how customer proof builds trust, influences decision-makers, and strengthens Microsoft's brand.
  • Curious and Growth Minded: You seek to understand audiences, business challenges, and emerging opportunities. You embrace feedback, learn quickly, and continuously improve how work gets done.
  • Agile Collaborator: You build partnerships across teams, simplifying complexity and bringing the work together to achieve shared outcomes. You drive clearly, can navigate ambiguity, and contribute to a high performing team culture.
  • Data-Driven: You use data and customer insights to inform decisions. You understand how to balance creativity with measurable outcomes.
  • Operationally Excellent: You are organized and detail-oriented, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and execution discipline.
  • Bias for Action: You proactively identify opportunities and hurdles, move work forward with a sense of urgency, and take ownership of results. You focus on delivering impact rather than activity and continuously look for ways to improve processes and scale best practices.

  • Cross-functional programs are executed smoothly, stakeholders remain aligned, and key deliverables are completed with quality and consistency.
