Responsibilities include administering SQL Server and MySQL databases, supporting relational database, data warehouse, and operational data store designs, enabling business intelligence applications, modeling database flows in Visio, and collaborating effectively with project teams.
Fulltime opportunity for a MS SQL Database Administrator
As a SQL Database Administrator, the ideal candidate would be responsible for the entire SQL infrastructure, managing SQL databases in multiple environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of SQL database development experience (MSSQL Server 2008/2012/2016 & MySQL).
- Bachelor’s degree and/or work-related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology related field.
- Knowledge of relational database, data warehouse, and operational data store design that lead to support business intelligence solutions/applications.
- Any programming language is a huge plus.
- Any report writer software is a huge plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills – demonstrate a positive attitude, able to work effectively as part of a project team and foster team collaboration.
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
- Planning and time management are essential.
- Ability to model database flows using Visio.
