Who We Are

🏔Product: TLDR’s mission is to increase tech's signal-to-noise ratio.

Today that means the largest network of tech newsletters in the world, with over 8M subscribers covering startups, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, product, and more. What makes it work is who writes it. Every issue comes from people building in tech, not reporters covering it. Our writers keep their day jobs: two engineers at Coinbase write TLDR Crypto, engineers at DeepMind and Meta write TLDR Dev, researchers at Anthropic and Adobe write TLDR AI, and robotics and datacenter strategy leads at OpenAI and Meta write TLDR Hardware.

If it matters in tech, it's in TLDR. That's what makes TLDR the best place to find what you need to learn.

💪Team: Our 31-person full-time team includes alumni of TikTok, Reddit, Amazon, Business Insider, Asana, Morning Brew, and Pinterest. We've stayed intentionally small, which means every person here owns a function rather than a slice of one.

📈Traction: We're bootstrapped, profitable, and on track for $35M in revenue this year - after $9M in 2024 and $20M in 2025. The advertisers who fund it want tech's decision-makers: AWS, Google Cloud, Anthropic, Slack, Notion, and GitHub.

About the Role

To date, TLDR has been wildly successful thanks to a small marketing team and incredible demand from our own readers. We've built v1 of our demand engine, but now we need to turn it into a machine: reach new audiences, open new channels, and build the demand generation motion that can take us to $50M and beyond.

You'll own that engine, including our inbound and pipeline goals, and the campaigns that turn our audience into revenue, with plenty of room to experiment beyond the typical B2B playbook.

This role is perfect for someone who craves the breath of marketing: you get as excited about a multi-month, integrated campaign as you do about tinkering with an email nurture. You're dangerous with AI and can spin up conversion tools fast, but you know when to add the human touch that comes with great marketing.

This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Marketing.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the inbound and marketing-sourced pipeline goals end to end. Your north star is to beat them every quarter, not just hit them.

  • Turn our v1 programs into a machine. Own paid, HubSpot nurtures, the email calendar, and conversion across the funnel, testing, optimizing, and reporting on what’s working and why.

  • Take integrated campaigns to market end to end, from webinars to gifting and account playbooks, partnering with Product Marketing and Content to make each one land.

  • Sit with Sales on accounts and verticals. As TLDR moves to a vertical go-to-market, you'll influence the campaign strategy for each vertical and find creative ways for marketing to fuel outbound.

  • Open new channels and audiences, including product-led and self-serve entry points that tap our subscriber base.

What Success Looks Like
  • Marketing-sourced pipeline grows every quarter, and you consistently beat the goal.

  • Demand comes from more channels, more audiences, and more entry points than it does today.

  • Sales sees marketing as a true partner on every vertical and key account.

  • Our ad inventory is sold out across every newsletter at least a quarter in advance (thinking big!).

About You
  • 6+ years in B2B demand generation, owning a pipeline or revenue number.

  • Hands-on experience running integrated campaigns across paid, email, web, and content, and doing your own attribution and funnel analysis.

  • Understanding of email as a demand generation channel, with experience building, testing, and optimizing nurture and lifecycle programs.

  • Nice to have: experience in media or advertising sales, product-led or self-serve motions, or selling to marketers.

You'll Thrive Here If…
  • You'd rather own a number than a channel, and love having full creative control over hitting a goal

  • You test, measure, and scale by default, and you're as happy killing a program that isn't working as launching a new one.

  • You're dangerous with AI and automation and would rather build it yourself than wait on engineering, but you know when a program needs the human touch.

  • You work in lockstep with Sales and think in accounts and verticals, not just leads.

  • You speak data and can work closely with our GTM Engineering team: they build the infrastructure, you run the programs on top of it.

Why You'll Love It

🤑 Compensation: Total cash at target is $207,000 - $321,500

  • Base salary: $164,000 to $255,500

  • Annual bonus: $43,000 when we hit our company revenue goal, paid in cash each January, with upside up to $86,000 if we beat it

💲How we pay: One of our values is to simplify aggressively, and that includes pay. You get a base and a bonus, both in cash.

We place you in the band based on what the interview process shows about your experience. If you’ve done this role at this level before, we’d typically start you around $227.5k in total cash, which leaves room to grow. You move up with performance, and we review pay every year.

We keep the team small and pay well, so you work alongside strong people. If comp is the only thing stopping you from applying, tell us.

🌎 Location: We're 100% remote across the US and Canada. Work where you want - our bands are set to tier-1 city rates wherever you live.

🤝 Team Events: Biannual team offsites. Most recently we’ve gone to New Orleans, San Diego and Park City!

🏝️ Time to Recharge: Flexible PTO. Most of the team takes 2–3 weeks a year, plus holidays.

🏥 Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits with a 100% paid option

📈 401(k) Plan: Empower 401(k)

🍼 Paid Parental Leave

💻 Home Office Stipend: Whatever makes you productive - standing desk, second monitor, chair, walking pad.

🔰 Learning & Development Stipend: For anything that makes you better at your work, and for AI tools especially. Don't ration your tokens.

📥 If you're ready to make a real dent at a bootstrapped, profitable company, apply. Tell us if you need any accommodation at any point in the process.
