Senior Designer, MarketingJob Description
Reporting to the Senior Creative Director within the Brand Marketing & Events pod of the Revenue Design team, the Senior Designer will collaborate with events and marketing project leads to create elevated design work for brand-led events and immersive experiences across iconic lifestyle brands including Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, and Southern Living.
This position supports the full event creative ecosystem, from magazine/in-book advertising and promotional marketing to social, digital, presentation, environmental, and on-site event materials. The ideal candidate brings a strong editorial design sensibility, refined typography, production-ready execution, and the ability to translate premium lifestyle brand identities consistently across every event-related audience touchpoint.
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable ResultsDesign high-quality creative assets across brand marketing, advertiser programs, and experiential initiatives, including:
Magazine/in-book advertising units
Print collateral and invitations
Signage and environmental graphics
Stage visuals and digital screens
Event activations and microsites
Social, digital, and email promotional assets
Presentation materials and campaign toolkits
Develop promotional creative across print, digital, social, and email channels to support brand-led events, integrated marketing campaigns, advertiser programs, and audience engagement initiatives.
Partner with the Creative Director to shape creative concepts, briefs, mood boards, visual storytelling presentations, and design systems for internal stakeholders, brand teams, sales/marketing partners, and event initiatives.
Create and maintain scalable brand assets, templates, print collateral, and campaign toolkits across multiple brands while ensuring consistency with established brand standards and visual identities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Events, Marketing, Editorial, Brand, and Sales teams to align on creative direction, project priorities, timelines, production needs, and execution strategies.
Lead high-impact presentation design projects utilizing advanced visual storytelling techniques, including animation, motion builds, diagrams, infographics, templates, and visual data communication.
Prepare files for print, digital, social, and experiential production, ensuring accuracy, consistency, technical precision, and vendor-ready execution.
Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, organization, and high creative standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field; or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience7–10 years of professional design experience, ideally within a magazine, media, publishing, lifestyle, retail, or brand marketing organization.
Experience designing for magazine/in-book advertising, branded content, marketing campaigns, social promotion, and/or experiential events strongly preferred.
Strong editorial design sensibility with highly refined typography, layout, pacing, and visual composition skills
Deep understanding of magazine/in-book advertising, print production, mechanicals, file preparation, color management, and vendor-ready print execution
Ability to translate premium lifestyle brand identities across print, digital, social, presentation, and experiential touchpoints
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; Figma experience a plus
Strong presentation design skills with proficiency in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Keynote
Experience designing social and digital promotional assets, including campaign extensions, paid/organic social, email, and web/microsite creative
Understanding of experiential event design needs, including signage, environmental graphics, stage visuals, screen content, activations, and on-site brand moments
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to consistency, accuracy, and brand standards
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, marketing, editorial, sales, brand, and events teams
Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, shifting timelines, and tight deadlines
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining polished, brand-right creative output
Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $90,000 - $110,000The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
