In this job you’ll ultimately be responsible for making sure all consumer-facing design work from our network is strategic, eye-catching and effective. That will mean personally developing the show branding for our highest priority new shows and projects, creating key visual assets for launch like tile artwork, social assets, YouTube thumbnails and brand guidelines, and selling that work in to key stakeholders. • Present and “sell” design work to talent, leadership and external stakeholders when needed, showing our strategic thinking and expertise
  • Plan and oversee the creative process for talent photoshoots
  • Lead, oversee, and project manage the design work for special projects like our podcast website redesign or live events, with support from contractors/freelancers as needed
  • Develop and maintain templates and best practices for key assets like YouTube thumbnails, tile artwork, social assets, etc
  • Provide visual direction and feedback on key visual aspects of new show launches, including set design and motion graphics
  • Assist with occasional timely, one-off requests like thumbnails, unique in-episode graphics and special promotional assets

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Superb design taste and a high bar for creative quality
  • 7+ years of design and branding experience experience, preferably in YouTube, podcasts or similar media
  • A flexible approach to design that can adapt to different genres, audience targets, and tones
  • Experience guiding the work of other designers and creative partners
  • Comfort leading creative reviews with multiple stakeholders, including podcast hosts and talent
  • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
  • A proven ability to manage and prioritize work and time across multiple projects
  • Awareness of what media competitors are doing in this space
  • Direct experience creating branding for podcasts or YouTube a plus
