We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, secure, and operate our Azure-based SaaS platform.  This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex cloud environments and enjoys solving infrastructure, networking, automation, scalability, performance, reliability, and security challenges. You will work closely with Engineering, Data, QA, Security, and Product teams to ensure our platform remains secure, resilient, observable, and highly automated. The successful candidate will have deep hands-on experience across Azure infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, networking, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
 Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
 Implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
 Manage and optimize Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Redis, Azure Service Bus, and related services.
 Design and maintain Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Private Endpoints, NSGs, DNS, peering, and hybrid connectivity.
 Support disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and high availability initiatives.
DevOps & Automation
 Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
 Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
 Improve deployment reliability, rollback capabilities, and release automation.
 Implement GitOps and modern deployment strategies where appropriate.
Containers & Kubernetes
 Build and maintain containerized workloads using Docker.
 Deploy and operate Kubernetes environments (AKS preferred).
 Optimize container security, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Database & Data Platform Operations
 Support Azure SQL environments including performance tuning, scaling, backups, and monitoring.
 Assist with Azure Data Factory pipelines and data movement workloads.
 Work with engineering teams to improve application and database performance.
Monitoring & Reliability
 Implement comprehensive observability solutions using Datadog, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and related tools.
 Build dashboards, alerts, SLOs, and incident response processes.
 Drive root cause analysis and post-incident reviews. Security & Compliance
 Implement cloud security best practices and least-privilege access controls.
 Manage secrets, certificates, and identity integrations using Azure Key Vault and Microsoft Entra ID.
 Assist with SOC 2, security audits, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.
 Implement network segmentation, private networking, and secure connectivity patterns.
Platform Engineering
 Continuously improve developer experience and deployment velocity.
 Reduce operational toil through automation.
 Establish platform standards, documentation, and operational runbooks.
Required Experience
 7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
 Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure.
 Strong experience with:
o Azure Virtual Networks (VNets)
o Azure App Services
o Azure SQL Database
o Azure Data Factory
o Azure Redis Cache
o Azure Storage
o Azure Service Bus
o Azure Key Vault
o Azure Monitor / Application Insights
o Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
 Strong Azure DevOps experience including CI/CD pipeline design.
 Experience with Infrastructure as Code:
o Terraform preferred
o Bicep
o ARM Templates
 Strong Docker experience.
 Strong Kubernetes experience (AKS preferred).
 Experience implementing monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog.
 Strong networking knowledge including DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls, private networking, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
 Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
Nice-to-Have Experience
 Multi-tenant SaaS platform experience.
 SOC 2, HIPAA, or regulated-industry experience.
 Azure Front Door.
 Cloudflare.
 Azure Container Registry (ACR).
 Azure Functions.
 Event Grid.
 GitHub Actions.
 Cost optimization / FinOps experience.
 Experience supporting data science or analytics workloads.
 Experience implementing AI-assisted DevOps and operational automation.
