We're looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Associations to join our growing team and lead strategic, multi-channel digital marketing campaigns for some of the nation's leading professional associations and B2B organizations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced digital marketer who enjoys developing creative, results-driven strategies that help organizations grow their membership, increase event participation, promote products and services, and engage their audiences.

Interactive Strategies is a full-service digital agency in Washington, DC, known for our work with leading associations and nonprofits. Our clients include the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and many others. We combine strategy, creative, technology, and data to help organizations connect with their audiences and achieve meaningful results.

In this role, you'll report to our Associate Director, Associations and B2B, and work across a portfolio of clients to develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies. You'll collaborate with talented strategists, designers, content creators, advertising specialists, and analysts to bring campaigns to life. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on digital marketer who understands how to turn organizational goals into effective campaigns. You're equally comfortable developing a marketing strategy, managing email campaigns, interpreting performance data, and presenting recommendations to clients. Experience working with professional associations, membership organizations, or B2B brands is especially valuable. You may also have opportunities to support our broader portfolio of nonprofit clients.

Responsibilities

Talent and passion matter more to us than years of experience, but here are the abilities we are looking for:

  • Develop integrated digital marketing strategies that help association and B2B clients achieve their goals across membership acquisition and retention, event registrations, product sales, lead generation, and audience engagement.
  • Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns from strategy and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization, using channels such as email, digital advertising, organic social, and websites.
  • Develop membership marketing strategies focused on attracting prospective members, increasing engagement, supporting renewals, and improving the overall member journey.
  • Support event and product marketing initiatives, creating campaigns that drive registrations for conferences, webinars, and other events, as well as sales of educational programs, publications, and other association products and services.
  • Collaborate with our digital advertising team to develop and optimize campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic advertising, and other relevant channels.
  • Work closely with our creative, content, and web teams to develop compelling campaign concepts, messaging, landing pages, and digital experiences that attract, engage, and convert target audiences.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, thoughtful recommendations, effective project management, and a strong understanding of each client's business objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and audience behavior to identify trends, measure results, and make recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Conduct digital marketing audits and assessments to evaluate existing programs, identify opportunities, establish benchmarks, and develop actionable marketing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for testing and optimization across channels, including messaging, audience targeting, creative, conversion funnels, and user experiences.
  • Stay current with emerging digital marketing practices, technologies, and trends, bringing new ideas and recommendations to our clients and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the growth of our marketing practice by sharing expertise, supporting new business opportunities, and mentoring other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of digital marketing experience (agency experience a plus but not required).
  • Experience creating effective conversion driven strategies and campaigns that map marketing activities to steps in the user journey/funnel.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising channels and how they can work together and with other digital channels to accomplish a variety of goals and conversion objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Experience with reporting analysis and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
  • Experience conducting digital marketing audits, providing detailed analysis and creating effective strategies based on data findings.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
  • We are open to this being a fully remote or hybrid DC office position.

Qualities you bring to the table:

  • Creative. You bring passion to your work and produce content that engage, motivate and inspire.
  • Strategic. You understand that a strong digital marketing campaign is rooted in thoughtful storytelling.
  • Intuitive. You're someone with that canny ability to always think one step ahead and see where the world is headed.
  • Committed. You’re committed to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Confident. You're friendly, professional and poised, whether you're brainstorming with our team, writing content on your own or making client presentations.
  • Passionate. You love what you do, give everything you've got and are continually seeking ways to grow in your craft.
  • Curious. If you don't know something, you strive to find the answer and learn new things.
  • Friendly. You work well with the team and appreciate feedback. You contribute ideas in a positive manner. You're also a great listener.
