Lead enterprise AI strategy and transformation: define AI and GenAI strategy, build AI Centers of Excellence, governance, and MLOps, prioritize high-value use cases, oversee AI product and platform deployment across cloud, lead cross-functional teams, advise executives, support business development, and ensure Responsible AI and compliance to deliver measurable business value.
We are seeking a Senior Director, Data Science & AI to lead enterprise AI strategy, advanced analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI initiatives across multiple business domains. This leader will drive AI transformation programs, establish scalable AI operating models, and partner with executive stakeholders to accelerate innovation and business value realization.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in AI/ML, GenAI, data science, and cloud technologies with strong consulting, client-facing, and organizational leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute enterprise-wide AI, Data Science, and Generative AI strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead AI transformation programs spanning predictive analytics, NLP, Knowledge Graphs, Agentic AI, RAG, and intelligent automation.
- Build and scale AI Centers of Excellence, governance frameworks, MLOps practices, and AI operating models.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI use cases.
- Oversee design and deployment of AI-powered products, platforms, and enterprise solutions across cloud environments.
- Lead cross-functional teams of Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Architects, Product Leaders, and Analytics professionals.
- Drive AI solution architecture, model lifecycle management, and enterprise adoption strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and business leaders, translating complex technical concepts into executive-level recommendations.
- Support business development, solutioning, RFP responses, and AI strategy workshops.
- Establish best practices for Responsible AI, governance, security, compliance, and scalable AI delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, AI, Data Engineering, or Digital Transformation.
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale AI and analytics organizations.
- Deep expertise in:
- Machine Learning
- Generative AI
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Agentic AI
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Knowledge Graphs
- NLP and Semantic Search
- Predictive Analytics
- MLOps
- Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Proven experience leading enterprise AI transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading global teams and managing multimillion-dollar programs.
- Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharma, Banking, Financial Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building AI practices, innovation labs, or enterprise Data Science organizations.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake, MLflow, LangChain, vector databases, and modern AI ecosystems.
- Track record of driving revenue growth, client acquisition, and AI-related business development initiatives.
